WEEK 1 - MINGLE

You've found a safe haven from the wind and the snow - yet, perhaps you're not quite out of danger yet. The Resort Staff are odd, but seem harmless - jumping to any whim you might have, if it doesn't make them oddly lock up.
The weather all week is perfect - the perfect temp and snow for plenty of skiing. The firepit in the courtyard is always lit too, with ingredients for smores and hot chocolate always available in the lobby. Though...in the halls, a strange bunch of songs keep playing from the hotel's sound system. Is whoever runs this place a weird cover song enthusiast?
So far, everything seems fine....but there's a weird sense of unease lingering over the Resort as everyone wakes up Monday Morning. Maybe that has something to do with that strange memory that popped in your head when you woke up? Or maybe it's that all of you woke up in the middle of a snowstorm, with no memory of how you got there?
In the end...even though everything should be fine, why does it feel like this is only the prelude to a nightmare...?

TUESDAY
no subject
Good morning. Sorry, am I in your way?
[Regardless, after he's finished up with training and cleaning up, he's right back in the restaurant. However, this time he's seated with a whole tea set and a plate of danish pastries laid out in front of him. If you're passing by--]
Hey, feel like joining me for a bit? I asked the staff for some tea, but... I think they went a little overboard. [There's a sheepish smile and a bit of a helpless look at the spread on the table.] It'd be a waste to not finish it all, so... what do you say?
[Closer to the late afternoon, Rean seems to be hanging out around the indoor jacuzzi, although it looks less like he's ready to jump in and more like he's just deep in thought as he stares at the surface of the water.
>Bother him?]

He spent the entire day yesterday examining every inch of the place, trying to find anything useful or something he could use to, you know, avoid people's deaths or find who isn't human anymore, but he didn't find anything useful.
He did find booze, though. There he is, at the restaurant area, a couple bottles on the table]
Looks like I got some kinda VIP room. I have been gettin' good shit for a while already.
[He says, pointing at the bottles. You're an adult? Feel free to take one. No way a kid will be allowed to take one, though.
Later that day Iwai's at the ski slopes, staring into the distance. Nothing that looks remotely like a way out in middle of the snow. If they have to stay until the snow clears...well it sure will be a long while]
The rats been botherin' you?
[Iwai has seen them around, but they haven't bothered him. Which is better than he expected from a resort filled with rats, really. It's surprising]

Because clearly there isn't-- everything is absolutely fine! She's fine.
Nevertheless, she'll be immediately heading to the restaurant to fix all her problems. (Spoilers: it will not fix her problems, she is actively making her problems worse.)
Which is why she's got a good breakfast - it's curry, specifically chicken katsu curry - and coffee, and she just stares at the curry for a long period of time, in an almost judging manner. ]
Did the chef think that I'd want curry for all meals of the day because of what it says in my profile...? I don't love curry that much.
[ It's not necessarily bad, but she's judging so hard. But also going to just down that coffee almost immediately because she's feeling more than a little exhausted but she is trying her best not to show it.
During other parts of the day, however, she can be seen roaming around; she'll be trying her best to be polite even if she is very much aware that just isn't her honest character. ]
Excuse me, you wouldn't mind joining me for a distraction, would you? It's fine if you don't.

Just as I thought... this place is way more suited for physical people, huh?
[What's a noodle who's only good for video games supposed to do for fun around here??]
[Staff]
[They were pretty convenient last time, so maybe they'll be just as convenient this time?]

All the while, someone (or something) lurks among them, just waiting to strike....
If you watch her tap on the walls for long enough, she might just stare back at you with an accusatory glare--]
You just gonna stand there, or are you going to try and help me find a way out of this damn place?
[Of course, Ripley has to take a break at some point. After her search, she retires to the restaurant and orders herself a plate of pasta bolognese. As she waits for the chef to deliver her food, she sips a cup of Wilkins coffee and sits at a nearby table.]
God, I've missed this. You'd think Weyland-Yutai would have come up with something better than freeze-dried space food to feed their employees.
[After a few minutes, the Chef brings out a plate of steaming pasta. Ripley smiles at him and picks up her fork. Looking down at the mess of meat and sauce, her mind can't help but draw parallels to the chestburster that exploded out from Kane's chest. No amount of delicious bolognese can quell the sudden feeling of nausea in her head.
She exhales sharply, closes her eyes, and then pushes the plate towards the person closest to her.]
Want some pasta? I don't think I'm that hungry.

HEY STAFF [codec call noise]
Otacon?
[With the grunting that can be heard afterwards, it's safe to assume that his attempts at contact didn't go...well.
In his frustration, Snake heads out to the courtyard. He opts for standing rather than taking one of the chairs and starts regurgitating something that looks like a packet...and soon enough, he has him some cigarettes. With a few flicks of his lighter, he can finally relax a little.
Don't mind him, he is in the smoking area.]

[but sometime during the day, that perfectly quaint tranquility is interrupted by an explosion (see 00:42 for visuals). the flashing lights and whirling booms are coming from the direction of the ski slopes, so at least it isn't affecting the resort, right??? and anyone who investigates the scene of the explosion will find. . .]
[that there's absolutely no damage to the surrounding area whatsoever, despite the fireworks. like. every single snowflake in every single snowdrift is still undisturbed, perfectly in place]

Tsumugi can be found in the lobby asking for pencils and paper from the staff at the receptionist desk. She makes a beeline back to her room as soon as she gets what she asked for, but she’ll stop if talked to. Regardless, Tsumugi can be found an hour later in the restaurant.
She’s sitting at a table with several stacks of manga neatly arranged by genre on it. There is a piece of paper in front of her that says in neat handwriting:]
Bored? Rent a manga here! If you aren't sure what to rent, ask Shirogane Tsumugi for recommendations.
Rules for the service are as follows:
1. You must get permission from Shirogane Tsumugi before renting anything. She needs to know who took what, so she can keep track of it.
2. Take care of what you take! It's just plain rude to damage people's things!
3. Please return the manga you borrowed to Shirogane Tsumugi after a week.
4. Enjoy what you rent with all your heart!
[Tsumugi is there most of the day waiting to see if anyone wanders in and takes her up on this service. She only starts to move the remaining manga stacks back to her room after dinner. Based on how much is still left, It might take her a while on her own.]
