WEEK 1

You've found a safe haven from the wind and the snow - yet, perhaps you're not quite out of danger yet. The Resort Staff are odd, but seem harmless - jumping to any whim you might have, if it doesn't make them oddly lock up.

The weather all week is perfect - the perfect temp and snow for plenty of skiing. The firepit in the courtyard is always lit too, with ingredients for smores and hot chocolate always available in the lobby. Though...in the halls, a strange bunch of songs keep playing from the hotel's sound system. Is whoever runs this place a weird cover song enthusiast?

So far, everything seems fine....but there's a weird sense of unease lingering over the Resort as everyone wakes up Monday Morning. Maybe that has something to do with that strange memory that popped in your head when you woke up? Or maybe it's that all of you woke up in the middle of a snowstorm, with no memory of how you got there?

In the end...even though everything should be fine, why does it feel like this is only the prelude to a nightmare...?

Well, you're not exactly going to get much rest freezing to death. Need some help up?

[She extends a hand for Akira to take.]

[his arm feels like jelly, but he lifts it to take her hand and attempt to pull himself up. keyword: attempt, because once he does so he just flops right on over again]

[fucking rip. Ripley decides to just sit down next to Akira in the snow.]

Well. Guess we're just gonna sit here until we both freeze to death.

[purrtagonist]

Rest in peace, us. We both lived a good, long life.

[he does not actually intend to freeze out here]

[She cracks a grin--probably the first time since she's gotten here.]

Sad I never reached my goal of petting all the cats in the universe. Got any regrets you'd like to share?

[purrtagonist]

[a beat]

[and then, forlornly]

I regret never finishing the last season of X-Folders.

[he came SO CLOSE]

[That makes her laugh out loud as she turns to look at Akira.]

X-Folders?! What is that, knock-off X-Files?

[A pause.]

Never got much further than the first season, myself, actually. Centuries old media is weird sometimes, even if people do consider some things to be classics.
