WEEK 1

You've found a safe haven from the wind and the snow - yet, perhaps you're not quite out of danger yet. The Resort Staff are odd, but seem harmless - jumping to any whim you might have, if it doesn't make them oddly lock up.

The weather all week is perfect - the perfect temp and snow for plenty of skiing. The firepit in the courtyard is always lit too, with ingredients for smores and hot chocolate always available in the lobby. Though...in the halls, a strange bunch of songs keep playing from the hotel's sound system. Is whoever runs this place a weird cover song enthusiast?

So far, everything seems fine....but there's a weird sense of unease lingering over the Resort as everyone wakes up Monday Morning. Maybe that has something to do with that strange memory that popped in your head when you woke up? Or maybe it's that all of you woke up in the middle of a snowstorm, with no memory of how you got there?

In the end...even though everything should be fine, why does it feel like this is only the prelude to a nightmare...?

[Iwai looks up at the sky]

They do, but also their nests get bigger. You know, multiplyin' so fast and stuff.

[You can't cram seven hundred new rats in the same space!]

Can rats really be that smart?

[Those rodents don't really come to Iwai's mind when he thinks about smart animals]

[ ... He did imagine that you could, but seven hundred rats normally sounds undoable for that sort of thing. ]

That does sound like it'd be too much for them to be kept in one space. Unless they were given a really big space that we just can't see.

[ Though at the next question he doesn't blink because #Disney. ]

They can definitely be really smart. It just depends on the type of rat and where they came from.

If you say so. Can't say I know that much about animals.

[He's never been that interested in them. All he knows is general knowledge and stuff he has seen]

I don't either, I just know there's different worlds and things are different on each one.

[ So he'll just shrug. ]

[geckodad]

You have experience with this...many worlds thing?

[Iwai actually sounds rather interested in that. Anything that helps try to make sense of the discrepancy in the years everyone's from]

I do, so going to one world to another isn't really new to me.

[ He guesses (and grudgingly remembers) that being kidnapped isn't new to him either. ]

Right. How do you get back to your own? Anythin' you need for that?

[This could be useful info!]

I'd just use the corridors to get back home. The problem is, I need it to actually work so I can actually travel using it.

[ He's frowning a little. ]

Basically something here is blocking my ability to do that.

[geckodad]

Not sure I understood that.

[That's...not the kind of answer he expected. He understands it's an ability, so there's that, at least. But he's not sure what to do with this bit of information.

No surprise there because he's not familiar with such things, yeah]

It's just a way to teleport that certain people can use, that's all.

[ Right, he needs to remember that some people don't know certain terms. So he'll start simple, phrasing it more complicated could make it difficult for people to understand. ]

Like a magic teleportation spell.

[geckodad]

Right...I think I get it.

[He doesn't. But he's starting to have an idea of how it's supposed to be]

If you get it back you think you can take us all to our times and homes? Or is it limited only to you?

[13thpromise]

It'd take awhile, but I think I could bring you guys to your worlds. The only problem is that you'd all need some sort of protection since it could get a little rough, and I don't think there's anything here that'd give you guys any of that.

[ He's thinking about it though... ]

I could track down someone I know though if that ability returns, and I think he'll have a safer way of transporting you guys back, even if it might take awhile.

[geckodad]

Things are never simple... [Sounds like it'll be a hassle, what with needing protection] ...but it's not like we'll have any better options. We can wait.

[Waiting is a better option than taking a risk that's too big]

[ You know, because being exposed to the element in the corridors would be Bad for normal people. ]

And maybe we can figure out the rest in the meantime?
