WEEK 1

You've found a safe haven from the wind and the snow - yet, perhaps you're not quite out of danger yet. The Resort Staff are odd, but seem harmless - jumping to any whim you might have, if it doesn't make them oddly lock up.

The weather all week is perfect - the perfect temp and snow for plenty of skiing. The firepit in the courtyard is always lit too, with ingredients for smores and hot chocolate always available in the lobby. Though...in the halls, a strange bunch of songs keep playing from the hotel's sound system. Is whoever runs this place a weird cover song enthusiast?

So far, everything seems fine....but there's a weird sense of unease lingering over the Resort as everyone wakes up Monday Morning. Maybe that has something to do with that strange memory that popped in your head when you woke up? Or maybe it's that all of you woke up in the middle of a snowstorm, with no memory of how you got there?

In the end...even though everything should be fine, why does it feel like this is only the prelude to a nightmare...?

[Iwai pushes the knife forward, examining how well it was buried into the table. Oh, geez...seriously sharp stuff]

You'd think they'd be givin' those to the shady weapons store owner, not to you.

[Airsoft shop, but yeah. Even though Iwai sounds nonchalant, he has sold plastic daggers to Akira. He really hopes this is just a coincidence and not...them trying to needle Akira by giving him knives]

[a flicker of amusement appears in Akira's expression as he takes a seat across from Iwai]

I'm an enthusiast too, remember?

[Iwai shakes his head, smirking]

Congratulations. You're shady enough to earn weapons without having to ask for them.

[...still...now that he mentions that...there was something else that was alarming:]

They know a little too much.

[He did see the content of Akira's profile. Both Phantom Thief status and the part about possibly leading an uprising in here...whoever wrote the profiles know too much]

[but that second comment gets Akira to sober up rather quickly]

They do. I've been wondering how this entire time.

The only way I see they could have known about your hobby is through the police.

[Not insinuating the police is an accomplice or anything, it's more like the kidnappers may have seen top-secret documents or something. It's the only explanation that makes sense.

At least if they try hard to make things have a semblance of normalcy]

On the other hand, they don't seem to know about my dirty laundry -- and the police does know about it.

[To some extent. They did send detectives to investigate him, after all]

Are you sure they don't know?

[leveling his gaze with Iwai firmly and thoughtfully]

And that they just haven't made it obvious they know?

[Hm...that's a possibility. He can't discard it]

Why'd they hide my secrets and reveal yours just like that?

They're keeping the information they have on you to use at a later time, as a trump card?

[it's the only idea he's got]

It's not like it's going to bother me that much nowadays.

[Mostly thanks to Akira's help. Iwai isn't particularly concerned what a bunch of people he's not even going to see ever again once they leave the resort say]

It's not like it bothers me much these days, either.

Except in the, "it's creepy they even know this and annoying they're telling people" kind of way.
