WEEK 1

You've found a safe haven from the wind and the snow - yet, perhaps you're not quite out of danger yet. The Resort Staff are odd, but seem harmless - jumping to any whim you might have, if it doesn't make them oddly lock up.

The weather all week is perfect - the perfect temp and snow for plenty of skiing. The firepit in the courtyard is always lit too, with ingredients for smores and hot chocolate always available in the lobby. Though...in the halls, a strange bunch of songs keep playing from the hotel's sound system. Is whoever runs this place a weird cover song enthusiast?

So far, everything seems fine....but there's a weird sense of unease lingering over the Resort as everyone wakes up Monday Morning. Maybe that has something to do with that strange memory that popped in your head when you woke up? Or maybe it's that all of you woke up in the middle of a snowstorm, with no memory of how you got there?

In the end...even though everything should be fine, why does it feel like this is only the prelude to a nightmare...?

[ While Monday definitely was a thing, Inaba's up and early; people who are especially observant might notice that she's especially twitchy and uneasy today, not to mention that there's slight dark circles and bags under her eyes. Although she's going to play it off like there's nothing to worry about.

Because clearly there isn't-- everything is absolutely fine! She's fine.

Nevertheless, she'll be immediately heading to the restaurant to fix all her problems. (Spoilers: it will not fix her problems, she is actively making her problems worse.)

Which is why she's got a good breakfast - it's curry, specifically chicken katsu curry - and coffee, and she just stares at the curry for a long period of time, in an almost judging manner. ]

Did the chef think that I'd want curry for all meals of the day because of what it says in my profile...? I don't love curry that much.

[ It's not necessarily bad, but she's judging so hard. But also going to just down that coffee almost immediately because she's feeling more than a little exhausted but she is trying her best not to show it.

During other parts of the day, however, she can be seen roaming around; she'll be trying her best to be polite even if she is very much aware that just isn't her honest character. ]

Excuse me, you wouldn't mind joining me for a distraction, would you? It's fine if you don't.

Inalin! Why do you need a distraction?

[ Are they going to do something top secret? ]

I need something to do to get my mind off of... [ A hesitant pause as she hand gestures at the entirety of the resort ] ...all this.

Well, we can always try to play in the snow!

[ Freezing your butt off is a good distraction, right? ]

Just as long as it's not a snowball fight. I don't want to get hit in the face again.

Hmm. I haven't ever built a snowman before. We should try it! Let's motor and gets some supplies!

[ Snagging her arm to lead her to the gift shop. ]

Ah, wait, don't grab me like that--

[ Except it's too late as she's begin dragged over to the gift shop. Apparently this is happening now. ]

Just in case we get lost.

[ Maybe. Also just confirmation she's not alone. ]

What do you think we'll need for a snowman? Maybe a hat?

I'm not going to get lost, you know...

[ She's memorized the map already, it's fine!! ] A hat, maybe also a scarf and buttons? And a nose? People usually use carrots for that.

Hey, maybe the staff can give us carrots.

[ Let's... not check the kitchen because they don't need that kind of hand. She'll snag a couple of hats though! ]

Ooh, what kind of distraction?

[says the person very easily distracted.]

A fun one? It's more like I need something to do.

Wellll, we could always play Justice Cabal. That's always a classic.

You'll have to tell me the rules, I'm not familiar with it.

Well, it's pretty freeform, actually. Basically, you make up a character and you kind of make up a story together with other people who are playing! And you do hero stuff.

Ohh, huh. Is it okay to do it with just two people?

Yeah, sure! I guess you could be the villain and I could be the hero? Or I could be the hero and you could be my sidekick.

Hehehe.

[ She actually laughs in a way that seems befitting of an evil villain, actually. ]

Let's go with the former, then. I've never played the role of a villain before, but I'd bet it would be fun.

I usually prefer to be the hero, but... yeah, it does seem pretty fun. So let's try and come up with characters and scenes, maybe?

[Someone else apparently had a long night too, judging from the yawn Ryoga gave as he entered the dining hall, before approaching the table]

Would you mind if I sit here?

[ She's caught a little bit off guard by it, but she manages to attempt a smile. ]

No, I don't mind at all. Go ahead.

[He nods, leaving for a moment to get a cup of hot tea, a few minutes later a bowl of Okayodon - chicken and egg rice bowl - was set in front of him with a pair of metal chopsticks]

You look exhausted, Inaba-san.

[Ryoga noted quietly]

[ She smiles a little thinly as she takes a few more bites of her food a little more quietly. ]

I'm not that tired.

[He nods, he pursed his lips, but decides not to press as he carefully punctures the yolk, letting it run over the dish before eating with an almost delicate manner as he considers what to talk about to help keep her awake]

I guess anyone would be, I heard there was chaos in the lobby...

[More like having a front row seat, but he's not going to admit it]

I kind of saw some of that shit yesterday, although I have no idea what happened there.
