WEEK 1

You've found a safe haven from the wind and the snow - yet, perhaps you're not quite out of danger yet. The Resort Staff are odd, but seem harmless - jumping to any whim you might have, if it doesn't make them oddly lock up.

The weather all week is perfect - the perfect temp and snow for plenty of skiing. The firepit in the courtyard is always lit too, with ingredients for smores and hot chocolate always available in the lobby. Though...in the halls, a strange bunch of songs keep playing from the hotel's sound system. Is whoever runs this place a weird cover song enthusiast?

So far, everything seems fine....but there's a weird sense of unease lingering over the Resort as everyone wakes up Monday Morning. Maybe that has something to do with that strange memory that popped in your head when you woke up? Or maybe it's that all of you woke up in the middle of a snowstorm, with no memory of how you got there?

In the end...even though everything should be fine, why does it feel like this is only the prelude to a nightmare...?

What were you tryin' to do?

[Minato says they were trying to clear up the snow, but Iwai isn't sure if he should believe that. Because, you know, there's no snow removed despite the big explosion. Something's off here]

[purrtagonist]

Escape.

[Minato isn't wrong. . . it's not their fault they didn't realize their powers were nerfed this badly]

It didn't work.

[This could have been better planned]

Did you even think you'll do after you escape?

[Escaping from here is...well, it's just the start of the long way home]

Hey. . .

[hey!! don't knock their plan :(]

We thought if we cleared out the snow, we could all get out of here. Maybe find a place where we could call for help. . .

[geckodad]

You idiot! We can't just go out with a 'maybe'. If we find nothin' you think we could come back? First we find where to go, then we make our exit, not backwards! We'd freeze to death if we do somethin' wrong!

[The thought everyone could have gone out and gotten lost in the middle of the snowy wasteland is harrowing -- but yeah, Iwai was in the process of trying to convince Medic to use his pigeon to scout the area and have an idea of where to go if they ever escape]

[. . . oh :( he's being scolded. . . and while Akira feels the most comfortable sassing at Iwai out of any of the adults he knows, there's something about that tone of voice that makes him flinch]

. . .

It didn't work, anyway.

[geckodad]

[Yeah, it definitely didn't. Iwai passes a hand over his face, frustrated, but judges he gave enough of a hard time to these two]

I better bring that coffee you asked for.

[purrtagonist]

. . . thanks.

[pushes himself up into a sitting position, wincing a bit as he does so]

I drink mine black, by the way.

[Iwai doesn't even bother to reply. He just walks in direction to the resort, and a few minutes later returns with two thermos]

There.

[Tossing it at him like Akira was tossing coffee thermos around when they were on the road.

It's black, strong coffee indeed! But it's rather average. Nothing fantastic, most likely obtained from the staff because Akira and Minato sure don't have time to wait while Iwai brews coffee]
