WEEK 1 - MINGLE

WEEK 1

You've found a safe haven from the wind and the snow - yet, perhaps you're not quite out of danger yet. The Resort Staff are odd, but seem harmless - jumping to any whim you might have, if it doesn't make them oddly lock up.

The weather all week is perfect - the perfect temp and snow for plenty of skiing. The firepit in the courtyard is always lit too, with ingredients for smores and hot chocolate always available in the lobby. Though...in the halls, a strange bunch of songs keep playing from the hotel's sound system. Is whoever runs this place a weird cover song enthusiast?

So far, everything seems fine....but there's a weird sense of unease lingering over the Resort as everyone wakes up Monday Morning. Maybe that has something to do with that strange memory that popped in your head when you woke up? Or maybe it's that all of you woke up in the middle of a snowstorm, with no memory of how you got there?

In the end...even though everything should be fine, why does it feel like this is only the prelude to a nightmare...?

Yeah.

[ It really isn't...honestly, it looks like malfunctioning's the best word for it right now. ]

You mean if they knew that guest died at all or just checked out of the resort?
relentlesslyonwards: (time to investigate.)

Well... both? I think it'd be at least a little suspicious if one of your guests didn't turn up after awhile, and if they didn't check out, that doesn't leave that many other alternatives.

[That are positive, anyways.]
13thpromise: (I’ll bear)

[personal profile] 13thpromise 2018-12-02 09:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Actually...the staff had to have known that he was dead. Remember the ghost of the person who died in that room appeared yesterday after the announcement? He said that the staff helped set up a way for him to communicate with the living.

[ At the very least he guesses they knew he was dead, which makes the fact that his bones were just...left there and all weird to him. ]

So I guess they would know whether he checked out of the resort or not too.

Right, I forgot about that part. [His expression turns slightly contrite before revert to something contemplative.]

Maybe I'll give it a shot and ask, then. I'm not sure what we'd really get out of it, but doing anything's better than nothing. We might learn a little more about our 'ally' here too.
13thpromise: (with a bond stronger than anything)

A lot's really happened...

[ So it's really understandable. There is stuff that he undoubtedly didn't remember for sure. ]

We really don't know a lot of things, and that could help shed a little light. You should really go for it - the worst thing that can happen is that they clam up, but there should be something you can get from that even then.

[ Roxas is hoping with admittedly a sense of some optimism that they can trust their "ally", yeah, and he thinks learning more about him could also help with that. The more things cleared up, the better, really. ]
relentlesslyonwards: (or MAYBE we could not do something dumb)

[A sigh.] You can say that again.

But alright, I'll give it a shot. [aka ig it's happening in week 2 because we're in backtag land oops] I do want to believe what he's saying since he's already given us more answers than the staff, but... if he's part of the game, then I can't help but wonder if he's got any ulterior motives as well.
13thpromise: (I must)

[personal profile] 13thpromise 2018-12-04 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I want to believe in him too. It kind of sounds a little funny for someone dead to have any ulterior motives, though.

[ That being said, even if he doesn't exactly fully distrust the guy, he'll be keeping himself a healthy amount of wariness along with that hope so if something bad does happen, he'll try to be ready for it. Emphasis on try. ]
