WEEK 1

You've found a safe haven from the wind and the snow - yet, perhaps you're not quite out of danger yet. The Resort Staff are odd, but seem harmless - jumping to any whim you might have, if it doesn't make them oddly lock up.

The weather all week is perfect - the perfect temp and snow for plenty of skiing. The firepit in the courtyard is always lit too, with ingredients for smores and hot chocolate always available in the lobby. Though...in the halls, a strange bunch of songs keep playing from the hotel's sound system. Is whoever runs this place a weird cover song enthusiast?

So far, everything seems fine....but there's a weird sense of unease lingering over the Resort as everyone wakes up Monday Morning. Maybe that has something to do with that strange memory that popped in your head when you woke up? Or maybe it's that all of you woke up in the middle of a snowstorm, with no memory of how you got there?

In the end...even though everything should be fine, why does it feel like this is only the prelude to a nightmare...?

[finally rolls over onto his back, arms spread at his sides]

This is it for me. I've lived a good, long life. But it's over now. My HP bar has been depleted.

[ Just going to kick him in the side lightly because seriously, Akira? ]

[ow. jerks away from her and curls in on himself a bit, because that's rude!1]

[dereban]

[ Sorry, Akira, but that was totally deserved. ]

I'll ask the staff to put freesias, then.

[ If he knows hanakotoba at all, the meaning of that flower is "childish and immature". ]

[ hands on hips, staring him down ] Then please, go ahead and explain it to me.

[wags his fingers at her]

[ Flatly: ]

I expected it to blast the snow entirely out of the area.

[dereban]

Then my point about you being a reckless idiot still stands.

[ Just going to run fingers through her bangs, sighing. ]

You're both actually unhurt though, right?

[purrtagonist]

[a huffed laugh]

We're fine. Out of stamina, but in one piece.

[it's just SP exhaustion because Armageddon is a BIG ASS SPELL]

[dereban]

[ Just going to let out a heavy sigh through her nose and mouth, fingers running through her bangs. ]

Thank god. If you two did something to actually hurt yourselves, I probably would have yelled at you both more.

[purrtagonist]

[. . . aw, Inaba]

[pushes himself up into a sitting position and blinks at her]

You’re really that worried?

[things he is not used to: people worrying about him]

[dereban]

. . .

[ And now Inaba just looks at him with a sudden realization and that realization is that she's feeling caught. ]

Wha— Just a little! I wasn't extremely worried! Like, on a scale from one to one hundred, it was just a five.

[ No, she was definitely more concerned than that, but hell if she's actually going to admit it. ]

[purrtagonist]

[. . . well. Akira lets out a breathless laugh, lifting a hand to push his mask to the top of his head as he scrubs at one eye groggily]

Oh, naturally. Only a five. We couldn’t have it going any higher than that.

[dereban]

[ She just frowns a little bit at his laughter with a bit of a pout. ]

Definitely. Any higher and we might actually explode. That'd be bad.

[ Sarcasm aside, she can't help but ask a curious question: ] What's with the mask, by the way?

[purrtagonist]

Right. Nobody wants that. It's a pain to clean up

[he traces the edges of his mask with his fingers (which are clad in red gloves, btw) before lowering his hand to his lap]

It's for aesthetic.

[dereban]

Oh, definitely.

[ She shrugs her shoulders wide, still crouched. ] That's some strong aesthetic, then.

[purrtagonist]

I don't do things halfway.

[OBVIOUSLY]

And that includes aesthetic.

[dereban]

Okay, so I'll remember that you didn't fuck up halfway, either.

[purrtagonist]
