WEEK 1 - MINGLE

You've found a safe haven from the wind and the snow - yet, perhaps you're not quite out of danger yet. The Resort Staff are odd, but seem harmless - jumping to any whim you might have, if it doesn't make them oddly lock up.
The weather all week is perfect - the perfect temp and snow for plenty of skiing. The firepit in the courtyard is always lit too, with ingredients for smores and hot chocolate always available in the lobby. Though...in the halls, a strange bunch of songs keep playing from the hotel's sound system. Is whoever runs this place a weird cover song enthusiast?
So far, everything seems fine....but there's a weird sense of unease lingering over the Resort as everyone wakes up Monday Morning. Maybe that has something to do with that strange memory that popped in your head when you woke up? Or maybe it's that all of you woke up in the middle of a snowstorm, with no memory of how you got there?
In the end...even though everything should be fine, why does it feel like this is only the prelude to a nightmare...?
MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

Haha. That obvious, huh? [He glances away to gaze at the surface of the water.]
...Yeah. This place was already suspicious enough, but adding that on top of everything else was... well, it's a lot to take in.
no subject
Only because of what happened.
[ His eyes then flicker over towards where the water rest, agreeable thoughts starting to float to the surface with ease before he gives them sound. ]
It really is a lot. I was waiting for them to reveal how they were really all liars and they kidnapped us, but I didn't think that they would try anything like that.
no subject
But now, I don't think I have a clue what they're trying to accomplish here.
no subject
[ Like blackmailing them into doing some type of dirty work or by force. But this? It was much more heavy handed and depraved than he could've ever imagined. ]
It really just sounds like they want a mindless bloodbath just because they can, or that's what I'd think if things were always that simple.
[ It's a mystery as to what their goal is, but Roxas thinks it's going to be dumb no matter what it is. ]
no subject
[He sighs.] There have to be some hints somewhere.
no subject
[ Beat. ]
They just left that skeleton in one of the rooms in a closet for months and didn't bother to clean it up, after all. So we're probably going to find other stuff they haven't taken care of.
[ Seriously, Roxas wondered if they just thought it didn't matter in the grand scheme of things rather than them simply being careless. ]
no subject
...Yeah. Although, that's still kind of strange, isn't it? If you're going to claim to be a hotel, then you'd think they'd try to take care of the bare minimum. It's not like this is just a case of them forgetting to wash the covers.
no subject
[ But, no, really... ]
...Maybe they might've left it like that on purpose. Then again, that doesn't really make much sense either when you think about it.
no subject
Especially with the way the staff act. They're pretty insistent on treating this place like it's normal. Honestly, I wonder if they even knew those remains were there.
no subject
Probably not. I feel like if they did know they might've just...forgotten or something.
[ Thinking about it... ]
Maybe the staff doesn't go into the unused rooms? That could be why?
no subject
[Malfunctioning probably isn't the right word but eh.]
Maybe. Though, that actually brings something else to mind. Do the staff even know that guest 'checked out'?
no subject
[ It really isn't...honestly, it looks like malfunctioning's the best word for it right now. ]
You mean if they knew that guest died at all or just checked out of the resort?
no subject
[That are positive, anyways.]
no subject
[ At the very least he guesses they knew he was dead, which makes the fact that his bones were just...left there and all weird to him. ]
So I guess they would know whether he checked out of the resort or not too.
no subject
Maybe I'll give it a shot and ask, then. I'm not sure what we'd really get out of it, but doing anything's better than nothing. We might learn a little more about our 'ally' here too.
no subject
[ So it's really understandable. There is stuff that he undoubtedly didn't remember for sure. ]
We really don't know a lot of things, and that could help shed a little light. You should really go for it - the worst thing that can happen is that they clam up, but there should be something you can get from that even then.
[ Roxas is hoping with admittedly a sense of some optimism that they can trust their "ally", yeah, and he thinks learning more about him could also help with that. The more things cleared up, the better, really. ]
no subject
But alright, I'll give it a shot. [aka ig it's happening in week 2 because we're in backtag land oops] I do want to believe what he's saying since he's already given us more answers than the staff, but... if he's part of the game, then I can't help but wonder if he's got any ulterior motives as well.
no subject
[ That being said, even if he doesn't exactly fully distrust the guy, he'll be keeping himself a healthy amount of wariness along with that hope so if something bad does happen, he'll try to be ready for it. Emphasis on try. ]
