Week 2 Mingle

With the nature of this 'game' out, the resort might not look so welcoming anymore. The staff are still ready to jump in and serve guests in any way they can, provided a request doesn't make them short-circuit, and the resort itself seems as warm and cheery as usual. But everyone knows the truth now. This resort is hiding some pretty big secrets, and it's only a matter of time before someone else turns up dead.
The weather is holding steady, at 'cold but still safe for outdoor activities'. The temperature seems to be dipping lower each day, though, and the previously-blue sky is starting to stay grey more often than not. Could that signal an approaching snowstorm? Who know. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.
On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. But it might not be enough to put everything together yet, that might take some more time.
Most importantly, everyone needs to get to know each other. This 'game' is one of 'know your enemies', and your very survival depends on knowing when someone is acting odd.

meeting
Whenever you’re in a tough situation, you can always try to think your way out. And, following that, you can set fire to a few things, too, if that helps. That’s the attitude that Ellen Ripley has always carried, and it’s why she survived an alien attack. Surely, it applies in this situation as well, right? Even if you’re remembering weird shit left and right and most of it is really fucking concerning, but, well, it’s not worth bringing up because it doesn’t make any sense right now. It’s fine. She can’t lose her head right now, for her own sake and everyone else here. Especially not after they had found Yosano dead in the lobby just that morning.
Thus, later that day, everyone will find a scrawled note slipped under their door, saying the following:]
RESTAURANT @ NOON
FOOD PROVIDED
-ELLEN RIPLEY
[Upon arrival, the restaurant will have a variety of donuts and other breakfast foods laid out at various tables, ordered fresh from the kitchen. A way to draw people to the meeting and also keep their mouths stuffed while she talks. Once enough people have gathered, Ripley will stand up on a table and wave to get everyone’s attention. Despite what has happened today, expression remains stoic, and her voice is loud and firm.]
Right. Following the...events of today, I feel as though it’s important to go over a few talking points. As we know, at least three of us here are monsters of some sort, aiming to kill others in this ‘game’ of mafia. And, as demonstrated today, we are forced to participate in the game or risk being killed by this ‘Cleaner’. Some of you might want to take revenge on whoever hurt Medic or Syazel or...Yosano. Some of you may be scared or frightened and try to keep others away for your own protection.
[A pause.] Believe me, I’m scared, too. But paranoia does nothing except drive us further apart and make us easier targets. In order to survive, we’ll have to work together. I’m not saying that we should just blindly trust each other, of course. All of you should be armed and ready to protect yourself, if necessary. But we can’t expect to achieve anything if we all just isolate ourselves. I suggest we try to gather as much information as we can and take action from there.
[Another pause. Ripley crosses her arms, gazing out at the people gathered.] Final note: it is of utmost importance for us to remain calm. Panic does nothing except cause more confusion and fuels further distrust, which the monsters will most definitely take advantage of. Does anyone have anything to add, or does anyone have any questions?

[ raises hand ]
Can someone fill me in on any of the events that I missed on Thursday? I think everyone being on the same page would at least help everyone out on that front.
[ no, seriously, nobody told her anything ]

I believe Akira went into the vents that day. He discovered that this entire building is alive...in a sense.

Re: meeting
I think we should get to know each other better, I mean we can't always rely on everyone being honest, but I think what happened is because we didn't know enough.
no subject
I agree. If we are able to understand each other's motives, it leaves us less room for the monsters to take advantage of our confusion. Where do you propose we start?

I don't want to take revenge on Medic's 'killer'. I'm pretty sure he didn't want to do it either.
[Just. Casually leaving off the other two for now though.]

I didn't mean Phil, I meant the people who voted for him.
[A pause.] Where is Phil, anyways? He's not here right now.

And I don't think the cleaner has a choice. The Staff made it sound like they took measures to make sure they listen. Do you think it's the same for everyone who has to play?

Re: meeting
Actually, I have an announcement relating to the dreams from last week. The Apprentice confirmed it, but...
The bodies we're currently in are new bodies. The dreams from last week were probably memories of... getting our new bodies.

On top of not being able to escape the sleepover until a decent amount of time into it, he still hadn't managed much sleep, even being back in his own bed. At least, that's the impression that would be easiest to get, just from looking at Vanitas' face. He just looks tired - the dark circles under his eyes are pretty obvious, and have been getting slowly darker as more time passes here.
After obviously taking a little time to listen to what he got here in time to listen to, he'll seem to just tune most of it out. He's picking at some of the food and poking around on his device. ]
