WEEK 2

With the nature of this 'game' out, the resort might not look so welcoming anymore. The staff are still ready to jump in and serve guests in any way they can, provided a request doesn't make them short-circuit, and the resort itself seems as warm and cheery as usual. But everyone knows the truth now. This resort is hiding some pretty big secrets, and it's only a matter of time before someone else turns up dead.

The weather is holding steady, at 'cold but still safe for outdoor activities'. The temperature seems to be dipping lower each day, though, and the previously-blue sky is starting to stay grey more often than not. Could that signal an approaching snowstorm? Who know. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. But it might not be enough to put everything together yet, that might take some more time.

Most importantly, everyone needs to get to know each other. This 'game' is one of 'know your enemies', and your very survival depends on knowing when someone is acting odd.

I...don't know, it was a lot of cogs and parts everywhere. The thing didn't seem to make sense, or have any purpose, but....

[She sighs. It had broken again. They wanted her to fix it again. Again? Like she'd done that before? Everything about it felt familiar yet...so alien.]

What was so weird about the stone, anyways?

When I took off a chunk of it to get a closer look at it, it started to throb, Ripley.

[Normal stones don't do that!!]

[Ripley blinks.]

That's...okay. Jesus Christ. Was there anything else of note?

Yeah. I ended up throwing it into the incinerator because of that. Smart move, past Bennings.

[He rubs the back of his neck.]

And yeah, there is. I... It seems kind of ridiculous, honestly. They didn't consider me a real person, whatever that means.

Christ, that's messed up.

[Ripley hooks a finger on her chin, mulling this new information over in her mind. All of this information can only lead to one conclusion, of course, but...she doesn't want to confirm it until she knows for sure. The implications would likely be shocking to everyone.]
