WEEK 2 MINGLE - ARTEMISIA
Things had changed so rapidly in the past few days.
The loss of two of them hung over like a shroud, made even worse by the fact that an innocent person had been executed.
Was this....how the rest of the game was going to go...?🗈

....Even if it was, there wasn't much they could do now. Yuuko herself hasn't shown up in public since the trial, and while some have talked to her, she's been...subdued.
Did the trial hurt her just as much as them?
Regardless, the island is still beautiful, if deadly. Summer continues, beaming down on all of them, the waves of the sea warm and inviting.
But even if things look bleak...
They have something in their hands that will soon lead to the Truth, and the heart of this matter.
And in the air...lies a heavy sense that everything is about to change.

Meeting!
Meeting in the Library. There is much to discuss between what we learn about the trial, the incident of the chapel, among other things. Even if you do not feel like interacting with a group, please come anyways.
-Ruler
[Once they arrived, they would find Ruler already there - those who worked with him won't find the dark circles under his eyes unusual, but the fact he isn't suppressing the urge to yawn is new. He had the book that was the cause of so much consternation held between his gloved hands, his expression blank. But once people come in, he gathers himself]
Good of you to come, I am afraid there would be no food - I am a terrible chef, but that isn't important right now.
I believe we have Quite a few things to go over...
[His forced grin disappears, his shoulders shagging, fingers tracing over the circular intent in the book]
There's something I did find out from this book.

Book? ... Oh. Right. When you all came into the library after burning down the church.

[He steeple his fingers together, even after time it was still mortifying - his cheeks having a very delicate shade of pink to it]
I was exhausted, and not wishing to spend the effort to find a secure spot, I placed it under my pillow so I would know if someone, say a goat would try to take it...
and I had A Dream.
[The way he said it, his eyes flickering with a microsecond of... something? he wasn't saying this lightly]

Yep. Burned down the chapel, it did. I tell you, it's a bloody death trap!

StarscreamRuler. ): Speaking of which, if they're meeting in the library is Karinea just wandering around ominously in the background.....Anyway, this guy is just going to perch himself unceremoniously on one of the tables because he's a heathen and Karinea can't judge all of them at once. Waving a little for attention!]
Ah, I knew we'd crack that book eventually!
But also, did anyone notice that Karen and Erika are back? They're totally back, like Feathers said they'd be, but they're demons now! And they have demon names. Apparently, this is Yuuko's way of bending the rules.
[He says all of this as though he's discussing what they're having for breakfast (NOTHING).]

Well, the way Feathers put it, their practice game showed them that they were supposed to pretend to execute people, and the people who were murdered were pretend murdered. It sounded pretty lame, if you ask me, especially since the gig would be up after the first week.
What would be the point of that?
[There's a dismissive wave about it.]
Anyway, does it really matter if it's them? They're not really here, either way. Yuuko's demons are the ones that are here now.

[He'll let Ruler do his thing and spare him the awkwardness.]
Well, I was minding my own buisness, wandering about, when suddenly I hear clicking noises coming from the chapel. I go in, poked my head through the door, and there was Takumi in front of a secret passageway!
I think that was part of the epitaph or something. The secret passage.

Does anyone know if the name 'Vinea' is significant in any way?

To say they are dangerous is a gross understatement.

He did arrive with a pile of books though, all of them on flowers- he's flipping through them too fast to be reading. In fact he's just looking for pictures that match the new flower outside]

One of the books he's flipping through points out that Artemisia(mugwort) has the meaning of absence in the language of flowers.]
