Things had changed so rapidly in the past few days.

The loss of two of them hung over like a shroud, made even worse by the fact that an innocent person had been executed.

Was this....how the rest of the game was going to go...?🗈

....Even if it was, there wasn't much they could do now. Yuuko herself hasn't shown up in public since the trial, and while some have talked to her, she's been...subdued.

Did the trial hurt her just as much as them?

Regardless, the island is still beautiful, if deadly. Summer continues, beaming down on all of them, the waves of the sea warm and inviting.

But even if things look bleak...

They have something in their hands that will soon lead to the Truth, and the heart of this matter.

And in the air...lies a heavy sense that everything is about to change.

We need more people to help anyway, right? And I'd rather it be me than you or Ryuji.

Giving that book to Ruler was probably the right thing to do. You wouldn't hide some important piece of information from Makoto just because she might get hurt, would you?

As for how many people we need... I dunno. I feel like we should have a solid idea of what to do differently next time, especially if things go south, you know?

[Ann's just here trying to reason out the best next steps.]

Then... we can take measures to be more cautious.

We should split the group of people standing guard into two groups, though. One group to watch over us, and then another to sleep away from the book. The second group can switch out with the first group after a few hours.

That way we don't run the risk of people falling asleep on the job.

I can stay awake the whole night, though more hands and eyes are always good to have... Also thank you for dealing with us despite the state that we were in.

Why don't we try writing something in it, too? Writing is a little more distant than putting your head on it, right? And it sounds like the book is trying to communicate with us in some way.

Names are powerful, so probably not an introduction. But maybe we can try "hello", or maybe "Please help us"? Something that starts a conversation.

Pretty sure that’s just everything after “Place the fragments”. There’s also the dream Ruler had in the first place.

The Epitaph is our biggest clue. The dream is important, but I don't know if it's the key. It feels more like a message.
