WEEK 2 MINGLE - ARTEMISIA
Things had changed so rapidly in the past few days.
The loss of two of them hung over like a shroud, made even worse by the fact that an innocent person had been executed.
Was this....how the rest of the game was going to go...?🗈

....Even if it was, there wasn't much they could do now. Yuuko herself hasn't shown up in public since the trial, and while some have talked to her, she's been...subdued.
Did the trial hurt her just as much as them?
Regardless, the island is still beautiful, if deadly. Summer continues, beaming down on all of them, the waves of the sea warm and inviting.
But even if things look bleak...
They have something in their hands that will soon lead to the Truth, and the heart of this matter.
And in the air...lies a heavy sense that everything is about to change.

[Androids and robots can sleep, but Wheatley wasn't sure if they can really dream. Maybe they just go through random memory logs until they reboot?]
What do you mean?
no subject
Servants don't dream, we usually just replay the memory or wishes that we had when we were alive - there's some exceptions, but that is the general idea, so I knew what I have dreamt of isn't mine. It seem part dream and part memory of another person.
[Ruler start to explain, keeping his voice even and expression flat]
I first found myself in a field of blue flowers, surrounding the ruins of a town - then I've must have been a child base on the legs surrounding me as I stared off into the endless sea.
After that, there was blood dripping into a jar full of some liquid, turning blue. Then after that, I found myself in a cold, dark cellar feeling despair and hate.
Then there was nothing but rain, dust, boxes, pain... followed by a song before I woke up.
I still remember that song.

I've written down the lyrics
[He pulls out a notebook, flipping to the page as he pushes it forward]
but there is something else that happened after I've woken up.

Especially with the sight I saw after awakening.

[HE GETS IT. He takes a picture of the lyrics with his EyePhone and then hands the notepad back to Ruler]
What did you see?
no subject
[There was a subtle shift in his demeanor, while his actual tone of voice was calm, there was a rawness, somewhat hoarse quality in his voice that wasn't there before, his eyes widening slightly, glistening, his lashes looking wet]
I couldn't see her clearly, but I knew it was a girl... or a woman before me, crying, crying so much... and she whispered so softly.
"Please..." and then "me", there was another word was in between, but I could mot make it out... then she vanished -
[He cuts himself off with a sudden sob, his eyes going wide in shock as he clamps a hand over his mouth, only just becoming aware that he had been crying, the tears flowing freely]
no subject
[he wouldn't expect him to be the crying type, so this is very concerning]

[he huffs a bit. But he can see that the ordeal clearly upset Ruler, so he tones the sarcasm down a few notches before speaking again.Actually, he seems very upset by it]
Ruler, are you alright? Perhaps it's some sort of empathy with this spirit?

[Kurama does seem to be taking Ruler's words seriously, his expression one of calculating consideration. He tilts his head slightly.]
It may be best to test to see whether this event is reproducible. Or even if someone else would experience the same dream or a different one.
no subject
It is a good theory to attempt, but just be prepared.

[Despite the joke, his eyes show that he's taking this very seriously. He examines the book now that he can see it, eyes tracing the indented shape.]
I wonder how many pieces the key is in...?

[Is this why you all smelled kinda smokey in the dinning room?]

Maybe anyone who's comfortable with the idea should repeat Ruler's experiment. The question is, should whoever is doing it be observed by someone who stays awake all night, or is there a chance it won't work unless the person is alone?
