Things had changed so rapidly in the past few days.

The loss of two of them hung over like a shroud, made even worse by the fact that an innocent person had been executed.

....Even if it was, there wasn't much they could do now. Yuuko herself hasn't shown up in public since the trial, and while some have talked to her, she's been...subdued.

Did the trial hurt her just as much as them?

Regardless, the island is still beautiful, if deadly. Summer continues, beaming down on all of them, the waves of the sea warm and inviting.

But even if things look bleak...

They have something in their hands that will soon lead to the Truth, and the heart of this matter.

And in the air...lies a heavy sense that everything is about to change.

Something like that. Karen turned into Vinea, one of the seventy-two Pillars of Hell and the boss of all the goats and Furniture! She's super strict now, and I think she's pretty close to Yuuko.

Erika says she isn't a demon, though, so who knows. She's calling herself something more boring. Freida Claude? She's supposed to be a lesser servant, and she's super polite now.

If you talk to Vinea about Karen, she just gets offended, but if you talk to Freida about Erika, something funny happens!

Perhaps it is related to the Furniture thing. Maybe one of us should ask Freida is she is one of them?

Freida just keeps saying she's a normal servant... Furniture is something else -- I think something closer to the Witches. At least, that's what Vinea said.

Wooow... It's probably a good job Erika is dead and doesn't know what happened to her appearance. It's a bit of a demotion isn't it?

Then again, I get the feeling seeing her go up against Yuuko for real would have been pretty great, too. It's almost a pity she didn't get a chance.
