Things had changed so rapidly in the past few days.

The loss of two of them hung over like a shroud, made even worse by the fact that an innocent person had been executed.

Was this....how the rest of the game was going to go...?🗈

....Even if it was, there wasn't much they could do now. Yuuko herself hasn't shown up in public since the trial, and while some have talked to her, she's been...subdued.

Did the trial hurt her just as much as them?

Regardless, the island is still beautiful, if deadly. Summer continues, beaming down on all of them, the waves of the sea warm and inviting.

But even if things look bleak...

They have something in their hands that will soon lead to the Truth, and the heart of this matter.

And in the air...lies a heavy sense that everything is about to change.

[Anon seems surprised to see Ruler have his minor breakdown, but mostly unconcerned.

He just met a demon and a zombie this morning, this seems about par for the course. Plus, Ruler finally got to commune with his book.]

Come to think of it, Yuuko kept talking about how she borrowed this Fragment, so she was using something that was already here. Maybe this place is totally haunted and there’s just a ghost that wants to throw us all out!

Actually, Feathers said that this Game is part of the reason she became a Witch in the first place. Something she could only do as a Witch, but something Yuuko didn't want her to do.

But the funny is that Yuuko's the one who picked.

What do you think the ghost wants from them? Or us.

There is the word I could not make out.

'Help', or 'Save', seems to be the most likely word to fill in between, but it might be other words.

Isn't that the most obvious solution? Of course, it might be a little harder if it actually was a ghost.

It is not beyond the realm of possibility. But we should at least gather more information before we act.

By the way, I've been wondering about the last bit of the Epitaph. What does it say?

We're still missing pieces from the puzzle in the middle. But you always have to start solving from the edges, anyway. Eternal rest, eternal rest...

And didn't you know? Syaoran is a pretty mysterious guy, he's got all kinds of secrets and taboos he can't tell us yet. [he... lowers his voice] He's probably a secret agent.

'Fragments' is just another word for 'other worlds' when she used it like that. I don't think we're supposed to put entire worlds into that book. Even one wouldn't fit.

Haha, well, I think it might not be in the sense that Yuuko uses. Syaoran said that she can't even see or do anything with the Epitaph.

And we still don't know who actually put it there too. The book might not be from either witch as well.

Well, it was probably whoever wrote the Epitaph, who isnt a Witch, come to think of it. So they say.

It could be. If there is a ghost here, then it might be trying to communicate with us. I don't know why it didn't make a beeline for me, though.

Well, nobody here can really do anything with their powers, and a bunch of us are kind of new, so we wouldn't know.

How come the ghost magnet guy ended up being a monster cook?
