Things had changed so rapidly in the past few days.

The loss of two of them hung over like a shroud, made even worse by the fact that an innocent person had been executed.

Was this....how the rest of the game was going to go...?🗈

....Even if it was, there wasn't much they could do now. Yuuko herself hasn't shown up in public since the trial, and while some have talked to her, she's been...subdued.

Did the trial hurt her just as much as them?

Regardless, the island is still beautiful, if deadly. Summer continues, beaming down on all of them, the waves of the sea warm and inviting.

But even if things look bleak...

They have something in their hands that will soon lead to the Truth, and the heart of this matter.

And in the air...lies a heavy sense that everything is about to change.

Well, it was probably whoever wrote the Epitaph, who isnt a Witch, come to think of it. So they say.

It could be. If there is a ghost here, then it might be trying to communicate with us. I don't know why it didn't make a beeline for me, though.

...I'm actually surprised it hasn't come up before now, but yeah. That's my power: I see the dead, and the dead are drawn to me.

Well, nobody here can really do anything with their powers, and a bunch of us are kind of new, so we wouldn't know.

How come the ghost magnet guy ended up being a monster cook?

He is, he is! I don't know how he ever stops cooking with the amount of food he makes. There's got to be some magic trick to whatever you guys are doing!

[Like seriously, how can one person feed most of this lot? Never mind that some of them are robots and others are weirdos who don't eat much. And some are robots who eat. There's no accounting for taste around here.]

Anyway... what's the ghost expert's opinion?

The ghost expert can't see this ghost so he can't be sure. But if I ever see her, I'll have a better answer.

Ghosts tend to linger if they died horribly or had unfinished business, though. Maybe the ghost girl wants her unfinished business to be solved?

It definitely sounds like there's unfinished business of some kind. She was trying to ask Ruler to do something. Or... just asking. The visions are weird, too. I wonder how this is going to affect the Game we're playing.
