MOCK ROUND INTRO LOG
Welcome to
This game is just a trial run, but please do not think you can sleep through this. The Witch fully intends to put the system through its paces, so please put up a good fight.
The difficulty level depends on you. Think deeply on your moves during this short play time.
You wake with a start - even if you don't remember falling asleep in the first place - and find yourself standing on the dock of what looks like an island. There's a noise behind you - and if you turn to look, you'll see a plain white boat taking off and leaving you all behind, not stopping for a second if you try to flag them down or scream at them.
It doesn't look like you can swim to shore, either - there's nothing but sea in all directions, and something tells you trying to swim out will end up badly. However, a small dip, if you were so inclined, would be fine. It's not like the weather is bad for it - it feels like it's summer, despite whatever it was when you laid eyes on the envelope.
...Speaking of, Every last one of you have an envelope in your hands, with a gold letter 'L' on it. It's the same letter you were reading before you 'woke' up here, after all. More than that, those of you who had supernatural or magical abilities will feel...strange, as if your abilities are being forcibly blocked. Try as you might, you just can't use them - though all of your physical abilities are intact, of course.
If you decide to head up the path, you'll find Goat....men? waiting for you near the doors to the mansion. Despite their bright red eyes, they merely bow politely and wordlessly bring you into the mansion, showing you your rooms and then stating that they will prepare food for you or anything else you should need whenever you want, in surprisingly deep voices.
As they leave, you can't help but wonder...
What did you just get yourself into?
Mock Round Calendar!
The taken page still requires a little coding, but it should be done by sometime today.
Thank you for your patience!

Okay, so there's goats, an island, and all of these people. ]
Haha. You goat to be kidding me, guys.
[ Using the envelope to shade his eyes as he turns around to try to see where people are hiding or recording all of this. ]
Any time, guys. Any time.
[ He's panicking on the inside :<
Later, he'll be humming a song, and sometimes will accidentally sing parts of it. It's something to do with his katana taking life? But he seems so cheerful about it as he peeks inside of his room. ]
Oh hey, these are pretty nice.
no subject
Some guy in a black suit and helmet is now staring at Mr. Panic-on-the-inside for a moment, an eerie sort of calm around him... And then he's throwing the balled up envelope right at his stupid face.
Possibly a little too hard for it to be playful. ]

[Yeah, Luna's just taking the goats and the random people (most likely humans, if her experience is anything to go by, unless they really, really aren't) in stride, so here she is grouped in the foyer eventually with the rest of them. Staring up at that absurdly dramatic painting.]

Bruno should really know better than to pick up random objects from off the ground, but he just had to go and read it. Now he's suddenly nowhere near Neovia... No, scratch that. He's probably nowhere near Neopia considering he's surrounded by weird beings that look like wingless faeries... Are some of those 'faeries' male???]
What in Neopia...? [He mutters in a similarly deep growl to the goat-men.] What is this place?
[Speaking of goat-men, Bruno's never seen a goat in his life either. Yes, he has seen similar beings, but to him the goat-men resemble weird black nuks and those creatures aren't even sentient. Which is why he can't help but politely stare in bewilderment as one of them shows him to the room at the end of the hall and excuses themself.]
Great. Guess there's no going back now.
[He looks back at the letter and reads it over again, noting the details. Tasks? Injuries? A wish? He thought he learned his lesson by now, but he can't help his curiosity at times...]

I've never seen so many humans in one place...! Not since I visited one of their cities, anyway. I've traveled through time a lot, but I'm thinkin' this isn't my world at all.

[What, indeed...
There's a small boy in your midst, hardly looking his age even in what's some kind of school uniform.]
Er... huh?
[He looks around. It all feels very real, even though there's something kind of... stuffing up his power. He looks at the hand that doesn't hold a letter, expression puzzled for a moment before he shakes his head and looks up again.]
...Maybe... if we go anywhere, we should go together?
[Seems a better choice than wandering alone.]
Rose Garden
[Despite those earlier words, the moment the rose garden comes into view, he's nyooming up to them.]
Wow! These flowers are beautiful! [And that restores some cheer in him, too, as he looks over the roses carefully.]
Ahh, whoever's taking care of them has tended to them well. I wonder if... Lady Lambdadelta, was it? Would be upset if we took a few.
[He probably shouldn't. But the temptation's there all the same.
Wait, was he supposed to be concerned about being whisked away to an island? Whoops.]
Roses
And cute. But it is worrying that a child was abducted as well. But he seems to be okay at least. So Scarred just kneels down next to him, looking through the roses as well.]
I cannot say if she'd be upset. But we should leave them. They'll live longer that way.

Slight investigation?
But she couldn't do anything about it without her magic. There was no way to hide as Sir Scarred here. She'd just have to deal with it. Even has to reread the letter.
The goat men on the path get very little notice, really. She just bows her head and curtseys to them. She does take a moment to stop and admire the rose garden though. It gets a small smile.]
I wonder why they only have roses. And this colour...
[Later that day she can be found looking at what could be the master bedroom. Not the room it's self but the door. It certainly seems more important if the doorknob has been decorated. But what is this symbol> and if it's important should she touch it?
So she's stood there reaching out to it, but not able to bring herself to actually touch it.]
no subject
Now, some guy in a lot of red and black (with even his face concealed by some black... helmet-looking thing) is very "calmly" facing those goat-headed creatures. One hand is balling into a fist as he demands to know where his powers are, looking ready to fight them.
Somebody should probably step in... But, if they don't, he's definitely going to be trying to fight them. ]

She stays on the dock for a long time, perhaps past when many others have moved on to the island, staring down at the letter in her hands with (almost invisible) brows lowered and seemingly either rereading it or staring endlessly at it. Eventually, though, she lowers it and moves on to the beach.
Here, you can find her taking a quick dip or rather just walking out to sea, a petite girl in a big colorful helmet. Maybe she's thinking of making a swim break for it? Maybe she's just spending all her exploration time staring out at the water.]
I'm not sure I want to play this game.
[Later still, she'll be in the rose garden amidst the rose bushes, passing her fingers gently over them and checking for defects. You'll be able to find her here summarily destroying a wilted rose she's found with quiet efficiency.]

The goat people are actually the least concerning thing about this whole ordeal. In fact, they're sort of a welcome sight! Even if they are very, very, very tall. But by the time he makes it up to the house, he's visibly out of breath.] Uuggghhh... I hate walking... I hate walking so much.
[he leans against the wall, panting]
no subject
Anyway, Luna doesn't seem to be at all out of the breath after the climb, and in fact she's probably taken a tour of the gardens by the time Silver huffs and puffs his way to the mansion. She's holding a single flawless red rose that she's borrowed from the garden at this point and stops to contemplate him.]

Did I manage to sleepwalk out of it?! [raenef quickly looks around and while he notices he isn't the only person around, they are complete strangers to him so he starts to panic slightly. he almost looks like he's about to cry, before he remembers the letter that is currently holding in his hand] I wonder... maybe this is some sort of test? Otherwise I think Eclipse really is going to be so mad at me.
[later on he does follow along with the others as they go up the path towards the mansion and eventually he goes off on his own though, wandering around elsewhere to get a better idea of his surroundings]

sulkinggrumbling near the doors to the outside, arms folded over his chest. He seems very tense, but what else is new? If someone approaches him here, his head will turn and it might seem he's looking at them? ... He just isn't going to be saying anything, right away. Creepy! ]

AN ENTRANCE
And then, almost unnoticed, sparks begin to form in front of the large table. They glimmer and glow in a multitude of colors, forming together to make a bright shape - no, a...person? - clinging for a moment before suddenly scattering and zooming around the hall. The effect is like seeing hundreds of fireflies zoom about - though anywhere the glowing lights touch, things change.
Cute banners appear on the walls, tables, and eves, even though they definitely weren't there before. Drinks suddenly appear, in all sorts of shapes and sizes and flavors, giving a sweet smell into the air. The large table suddenly becomes filled with all sorts of food, from savory meat dishes to scrumptious looking vegetable dishes and even large, soft looking cakes and pastries - and scattered everywhere around the dishes are small sweets and candies, interlaced with the glimmer of pearls and small pumpkins.
Their job done, the lights reform at the center of the table as a person again - which glows bright enough to blind them all for just a second before they vanish, leaving behind...
Her. The woman they've seen in the Portraits around - and even as she floats down and lands on the ground in a graceful curtsy, it's hard to tell how old she is. She could, indeed, be the grinning, cute young girl in the portrait behind her in the hall - but as her red eyes gaze around at everyone with an impish smile, you could also see the traces of the maturity and adulthood in the portrait in the foyer, the same knowing look. Maybe she's just a petite woman instead?
Either way, it doesn't matter - because she quickly spreads her arms towards her guests.]
Welcooooome~! I'm so glad all of you responded to my little letter. I am the great and cute Lady Lambdadelta, Witch of Certainty. I'll be your host for this game ☆
[She winks, mischievously.]
Now, I'm sure you're all incredibly worried about what kind of game you'll have to play to get a shot at a wish granting from me, and I'll answer that! Buuuuut first, I'm going to relieve a few of your worries and lay down a few rules.
First off: No one here will be permanently die. They won't be permanently injured, either. So anything that happens during the game is only for the game, got it?
[The moment she says those words, they practically sizzle with power, appearing in the air directly in front of her in glowing red.]
Second: You can do anything you want while on the grounds - but don't smash stuff up, okay? Well, too much, anyway. *Cackle*! Of course, anything that happens during the game is fine. You could even blow up a part of the wall, if you wanted to - if it was to cover your tracks.
Hm? What do I mean by covering your tracks? Wellll....I wonder ☆ I'll explain it in a second, so just be patient, okaaaay?
Lastly, don't try to escape off the island. You won't get anywhere, and if you get eaten in the woods or drown at sea, I won't be rescuing you~ after all, if someone leaves the game, then they're not playing anymore, right? Ah, but if one of you tries it, I'll be replacing you with one of the extra players waiting in the wings.
[She claps her black-gloved hands together after that, making a loud noise.]
Okaaaay! So, you're all wondering what I'm going to have you play, right? You just can't wait to find out what it is, riiiiight? Well, your long wait is over ☆~
Each of these weeks, there'll be a murder - perpetrated by one of you! You'll have to check out the scene and play Sherlock, Poirot, Fletcher, Wright - whatever detective you like, it doesn't matter - and present a theory to me at Trial that points at a Human Culprit.
Huuuuh? 'Human Culprit'? Oh, you don't have to say anything - I saw that question written aaaaall over your faces, you know?
See, the trick to this game is that I'm going to claim I caused the murder, and show you how I, the wonderful and powerful Lambdadelta, killed them! It's your job to deny me. ...Of course, you could just give in, too. But where's the fun in that? *cackle*!
If all of you manage to figure out who both the killers were, I'll grant you a wish. Just remember I said you're presenting theories to me, okaaaay~?
In addition, If you kill someone and get away with it - if they don't create a theory with you as the culprit - At the end of the two weeks, only your wish will be granted. After all, you worked hard and outsmarted everyone for your wish! So you deserve it the most ☆
Oh, and don't cry that you never signed up for this. You all agreed to be here, either verbally or inside your hearts. Everyone has a wish they want granted, you know? You should be grateful to me, for being willing to grant whatever you want~
[With a flourish, she snaps her fingers, and a Goat butler quickly scoots a chair behind her so she can sit down.]
Feel free to talk to me all you want - and have all the food you want, too! Everything's safe, trust me - I'll be eating too.
[And, indeed, one of the Goats grabs a plate and puts food on it, which she starts digging into.
Huh.]
no subject
Bruno doesn't touch the food for a second. He's eyeing the witch with scrutiny, her words repeating themselves in his head. The wish. It's too good to be true, he's learned that. But if that's the case, why is he here? And if this is supposed to be a murder-]
Hey, wait a second! If you're telling people to kill each other, how are you sure they'll be alive and well after the game?
