MOCK ROUND INTRO LOG
Welcome to
This game is just a trial run, but please do not think you can sleep through this. The Witch fully intends to put the system through its paces, so please put up a good fight.
The difficulty level depends on you. Think deeply on your moves during this short play time.
You wake with a start - even if you don't remember falling asleep in the first place - and find yourself standing on the dock of what looks like an island. There's a noise behind you - and if you turn to look, you'll see a plain white boat taking off and leaving you all behind, not stopping for a second if you try to flag them down or scream at them.
It doesn't look like you can swim to shore, either - there's nothing but sea in all directions, and something tells you trying to swim out will end up badly. However, a small dip, if you were so inclined, would be fine. It's not like the weather is bad for it - it feels like it's summer, despite whatever it was when you laid eyes on the envelope.
...Speaking of, Every last one of you have an envelope in your hands, with a gold letter 'L' on it. It's the same letter you were reading before you 'woke' up here, after all. More than that, those of you who had supernatural or magical abilities will feel...strange, as if your abilities are being forcibly blocked. Try as you might, you just can't use them - though all of your physical abilities are intact, of course.
If you decide to head up the path, you'll find Goat....men? waiting for you near the doors to the mansion. Despite their bright red eyes, they merely bow politely and wordlessly bring you into the mansion, showing you your rooms and then stating that they will prepare food for you or anything else you should need whenever you want, in surprisingly deep voices.
As they leave, you can't help but wonder...
What did you just get yourself into?

The taken page still requires a little coding, but it should be done by sometime today.
Thank you for your patience!

I wouldn't even want to invent a game like this in the first place.

[ Since this is the 'trial run' and no one is getting hurt, so it can be perfectly fine in a human's eyes still...maybe. If she is telling the truth.
Don't blame Riku for being still wary even with the show with Bruno over there, but he's somewhat less tense at least. ]
Who're those newbies you're training?

[No, it's fine. be wary with Witches, man.]

[ Goodness, of course there were more. He swears, it's like the moment he turns around there's a whole new kind of existence out there that tops something else. It just never ends. ]
So let me get this straight, these new witches came up with a game and you're running it for them to try it out. Then when this is over, they'll be the ones running the next one?

[FORGERIES....anyway]
I'm expecting great things from the both of them - and I'm not the only one. There'll be a lot of spectators watching when they go up against each other, you know? Especially with this modified ruleset.

It isn't?
[ Now he's asking himself, in a different way, what the heck did he get himself into. ]
I'd ask why there would be a lot of people watching something like this, but I'm going to guess this is something like entertainment. But, why would anyone expect 'great' things from them?
no subject
[Sorry, she doesn't expect Riku to know what the hell she's talking about. Lambda likes to chew the scenery, sorry.]
Mmm, because of the potential they both have? They're both pretty powerful in their own right - it's like watching two baby geniuses play a game against each other. Even though you know you're stronger than they are, you still want to watch them grow correctly, right?
Oh, but don't be jealous - There are spectators here, after all. Some of them are already starting to wonder who'll come out on top and making speculation!

[ Riku is trying so hard to follow but he gets lost half-way, gosh. ]
I don't think I'd be interested in something like that. [ A brief pause in which he considers whether watching Sora become a better keyblade wielder would be an apt comparison. Nope. ] But, I get it.
...if there are spectators here now, where are they?
[ He's keeping it cool while being like internally, 'what'. Then again that is how his entire conversation with Lambdadelta is going. ]

[It's okay, Riku. Witches are....well, they're weird because they kind of have to be.
She's still not going to explain fucking anything, though.]
Well - some are viewing this remotely. The two I'm training are just outside the gameboard, watching closely - Think of it like this. Two people are playing chess, and there are spectators in person, right? But the game is also being recorded and sent allll around so it can be watched while it's ongoing without someone having to personally be there to see it.
Of course, when you watch like that, you end up missing a few details. But that's just the risk you take~

[ He just gives her a flat look at the first sentence, but hey he thinks he can piece together the gameboard thing, maybe. Kind of. ]
...This is all insane. How did you get all the power to do that, allow people to spectate, spirit all of us away, block people's abilities, and then set up a "game" like this in the first place?
[ And those aren't minor things as far as he's concerned. ]
