Welcome to Rokkenjima. This island may just be a copy in the middle of reformation, but the Witch extends her greetings all the same. Please, relax.

This game is just a trial run, but please do not think you can sleep through this. The Witch fully intends to put the system through its paces, so please put up a good fight.

The difficulty level depends on you. Think deeply on your moves during this short play time.

You wake with a start - even if you don't remember falling asleep in the first place - and find yourself standing on the dock of what looks like an island. There's a noise behind you - and if you turn to look, you'll see a plain white boat taking off and leaving you all behind, not stopping for a second if you try to flag them down or scream at them.

It doesn't look like you can swim to shore, either - there's nothing but sea in all directions, and something tells you trying to swim out will end up badly. However, a small dip, if you were so inclined, would be fine. It's not like the weather is bad for it - it feels like it's summer, despite whatever it was when you laid eyes on the envelope.

...Speaking of, Every last one of you have an envelope in your hands, with a gold letter 'L' on it. It's the same letter you were reading before you 'woke' up here, after all. More than that, those of you who had supernatural or magical abilities will feel...strange, as if your abilities are being forcibly blocked. Try as you might, you just can't use them - though all of your physical abilities are intact, of course.

If you decide to head up the path, you'll find Goat....men? waiting for you near the doors to the mansion. Despite their bright red eyes, they merely bow politely and wordlessly bring you into the mansion, showing you your rooms and then stating that they will prepare food for you or anything else you should need whenever you want, in surprisingly deep voices.

As they leave, you can't help but wonder...

What did you just get yourself into?

[raenef definitely doesn't remember falling asleep and more than anything he is just really confused as he watches as the boat sails off in the distance] This isn't the castle.

Did I manage to sleepwalk out of it?! [raenef quickly looks around and while he notices he isn't the only person around, they are complete strangers to him so he starts to panic slightly. he almost looks like he's about to cry, before he remembers the letter that is currently holding in his hand] I wonder... maybe this is some sort of test? Otherwise I think Eclipse really is going to be so mad at me.

[later on he does follow along with the others as they go up the path towards the mansion and eventually he goes off on his own though, wandering around elsewhere to get a better idea of his surroundings]

[despite almost crying, raenef does perks up soon enough hearing someone talk to him] Yeah and one we didn't get a chance to even prepare for— whatever this is anyway.

Yeah. Guess we got lucky with having avoided that.

So, what makes you think this is a test?

Well that sort of thing tends to happen a lot when you're a Demon Lord. [you know because he has to prove that he is worthy of the title and all that]

I doubt it. They probably just took us whenever it was convenient for them.

[ ...and since he's curious about it - ]

You're used to living in a castle?

I guess you're right— it must have been some really powerful summoning magic. [at least that is what he's assuming given he isn't the only one suddenly brought here.

hearing the question though, he smiles slightly and just nods at that] Well it's kind of recent thing but yeah I live in a castle now.

Yeah.

[ It's nothing to sneeze at, that's for sure. ]

...What do you remember you were doing last at the castle or wherever you were before all of this?

[ Riku wasn't exactly 'asleep' so he was curious to see if it'd been the same for everyone else. ]

Oh— well I definitely wasn't asleep. I was talking with Erutis and Chris.

I wasn't either, I'd been meeting up with some friends.

[ ...Quite literally. ]

Huh, I guess that makes two of us then who weren't sleeping when this happened.

Maybe it's the same for the others too?

Can't hurt to ask around, right?

Yeah! We can definitely ask them so we can confirm if that's true or not.

[ He'll nod. ]

It's a plan. We could also check out our surroundings while asking around—it'd be hitting two birds with one stone.

[ He turns and then makes a movement of his hand to indicate 'follow me' since he assumes that's something they can do now. ]

It's nice to meet you! [he mentally makes note of the name and just nods at that and when riku gestures for him to follow him, he does just that tagging along with him to explore the place] I guess we can see what else is around here too.
