Welcome to Rokkenjima. This island may just be a copy in the middle of reformation, but the Witch extends her greetings all the same. Please, relax.

This game is just a trial run, but please do not think you can sleep through this. The Witch fully intends to put the system through its paces, so please put up a good fight.

The difficulty level depends on you. Think deeply on your moves during this short play time.

You wake with a start - even if you don't remember falling asleep in the first place - and find yourself standing on the dock of what looks like an island. There's a noise behind you - and if you turn to look, you'll see a plain white boat taking off and leaving you all behind, not stopping for a second if you try to flag them down or scream at them.

It doesn't look like you can swim to shore, either - there's nothing but sea in all directions, and something tells you trying to swim out will end up badly. However, a small dip, if you were so inclined, would be fine. It's not like the weather is bad for it - it feels like it's summer, despite whatever it was when you laid eyes on the envelope.

...Speaking of, Every last one of you have an envelope in your hands, with a gold letter 'L' on it. It's the same letter you were reading before you 'woke' up here, after all. More than that, those of you who had supernatural or magical abilities will feel...strange, as if your abilities are being forcibly blocked. Try as you might, you just can't use them - though all of your physical abilities are intact, of course.

If you decide to head up the path, you'll find Goat....men? waiting for you near the doors to the mansion. Despite their bright red eyes, they merely bow politely and wordlessly bring you into the mansion, showing you your rooms and then stating that they will prepare food for you or anything else you should need whenever you want, in surprisingly deep voices.

As they leave, you can't help but wonder...

What did you just get yourself into?

[ At some point there was an envelope in his hand.

Now, some guy in a lot of red and black (with even his face concealed by some black... helmet-looking thing) is very "calmly" facing those goat-headed creatures. One hand is balling into a fist as he demands to know where his powers are, looking ready to fight them.

Somebody should probably step in... But, if they don't, he's definitely going to be trying to fight them. ]

I don't think Lady Lambdadelta would be wearing the same thing. Their outfits are too uniform.

[Not that Bruno's gonna fight them either. He seems plenty strong, but he also has common sense most of the time.]

Oh-- er, I didn't mention it earlier, but I'm studying magic.

[His eyes are still on the scene ahead of them, though.]

[At least one of the goats seems unimpressed by Vanitas' display. The goat offers no answers, but just stands there looking more like a bouncer than a butler.

Do you want to fight the goat?]

[ Vanitas is just going to ignore any and all PERFECTLY REASONABLE ADVICE???? people trying to talk him out of this.

The one looking like a bouncer is... is the one he's going to throw a punch at... ]

[The goat grabs the punch. Like, bare-handed. By the way these goats have human hands somehow.

Now Vanitas is holding hands with a goat.]

[ And he'll continue holding hands while looking incredibly amused -- by his punch getting stopped, not by the hand-holding. Because ew.

He's going to try bringing a leg up to knee it in the side, instead. ]

[Wow rude, they were sharing a touching moment.

The goat takes the leg to the side, and doesn't seem to be hurt by it at all. Either it didn't actually hurt, or the goat is doing its best to not react to that kick.

Then the goat will grip Vanitas' hand more firmly, bracing its other hand against that same arm. Then it flips Vanitas around, slamming him onto the ground back-first.]

[ Alas, you are dealing with the embodiment of rude.

Speaking of not reacting much, Vanitas is doing a good job of not sounding all that hurt by the slam. In fact, there's more irritation and anger than actual pain. There's a lot of tension in his form as he lets out a breathless laugh - one far from stable-sounding.

For a reason he won't be saying or even making obvious, he isn't going to be making another move to try attacking it. ]

[It's a quiet murmur as she spots Vanitas going for the goats in the guinea pig Olympics.

She isn't going to move to stop him, but she is going to move to have a closer look. If others are going to be foolish, it's only fitting that they be the useful kind.
