MOCK ROUND INTRO LOG
Welcome to
This game is just a trial run, but please do not think you can sleep through this. The Witch fully intends to put the system through its paces, so please put up a good fight.
The difficulty level depends on you. Think deeply on your moves during this short play time.
You wake with a start - even if you don't remember falling asleep in the first place - and find yourself standing on the dock of what looks like an island. There's a noise behind you - and if you turn to look, you'll see a plain white boat taking off and leaving you all behind, not stopping for a second if you try to flag them down or scream at them.
It doesn't look like you can swim to shore, either - there's nothing but sea in all directions, and something tells you trying to swim out will end up badly. However, a small dip, if you were so inclined, would be fine. It's not like the weather is bad for it - it feels like it's summer, despite whatever it was when you laid eyes on the envelope.
...Speaking of, Every last one of you have an envelope in your hands, with a gold letter 'L' on it. It's the same letter you were reading before you 'woke' up here, after all. More than that, those of you who had supernatural or magical abilities will feel...strange, as if your abilities are being forcibly blocked. Try as you might, you just can't use them - though all of your physical abilities are intact, of course.
If you decide to head up the path, you'll find Goat....men? waiting for you near the doors to the mansion. Despite their bright red eyes, they merely bow politely and wordlessly bring you into the mansion, showing you your rooms and then stating that they will prepare food for you or anything else you should need whenever you want, in surprisingly deep voices.
As they leave, you can't help but wonder...
What did you just get yourself into?
Mock Round Calendar!
The taken page still requires a little coding, but it should be done by sometime today.
Thank you for your patience!

PERFECTLY REASONABLE ADVICE????people trying to talk him out of this. The one looking like a bouncer is... is the one he's going to throw a punch at... ]

Now Vanitas is holding hands with a goat.]
no subject
He's going to try bringing a leg up to knee it in the side, instead. ]
no subject
The goat takes the leg to the side, and doesn't seem to be hurt by it at all. Either it didn't actually hurt, or the goat is doing its best to not react to that kick.
Then the goat will grip Vanitas' hand more firmly, bracing its other hand against that same arm. Then it flips Vanitas around, slamming him onto the ground back-first.]

Speaking of not reacting much, Vanitas is doing a good job of not sounding all that hurt by the slam. In fact, there's more irritation and anger than actual pain. There's a lot of tension in his form as he lets out a breathless laugh - one far from stable-sounding.
For a reason he won't be saying or even making obvious, he isn't going to be making another move to try attacking it. ]

Which apparently means 'get put into a headlock by a goat-butler.']

Stop! You're just going to get yourself hurt!
no subject
He's strong, but he has common sense.]
no subject
Mind your own business!
[ -to the one who just told him to stop. Being told to stop only has him trying to elbow the creature in the gut. ]

This is pointless. Haven't you already realized we can't fight back against them?
All you're going to do is wear yourself out.

Do you need me to take him off of you?

But the fact is that he doesn't. Still... ]
If I were you, I'd throw in the towel right about now.
[ The only words thus far he'll throw over here from peanut gallery. ]

[ no you wouldn't ]
no subject
I'm sure you would.
[ Full of sarcasm there...we're starting off great here. ]
Figured I'd warn you at least, but if you want to continue to try to wrestle against something much stronger than you, feel free.

Wonderful. A hero to save the day.

...What, are you trying to say you're the damsel in distress?

[ Wow, don't insult him like that!! ]
