Week 4

It finally happened. Someone murdered, and was punished for it. After a particularly grueling trial, one much worse than the games ever were, everyone definitely needed the rest of the weekend to rest up. But now it is Monday once more, and that means it is time to get back to 'work'.

The cameras have moved again, and the contestants will need to be careful where they say what until their new locations have been revealed. In addition to that, the house itself seems to have changed, with its usual colorful appearance suddenly a bit more grey. Even the weather seems to be gloomy, with those storm clouds from last week starting to overcast the area, threatening to drop rain.

Seventeen contestants remain in this game of death. How many more will fall before the game is over? And how many more will be driven to murder?

PRINNY MEETING POOLSIDE

[GOOD MORNING AMERICA today our pool is finally restored (thanks fortune cookstar) and it's time for Clandestine Pool Party Redux™. Nora absolutely started this meeting by yanking random passersby into the pool. It's fine. It's summer, people are dead, and local dog is just sort of glowering at everybody from where he's bobbing against a side of the pool.]

All right, listen up! I'm only goin' to say this the once, 'cause it's a pain in the ass explaining stuff. But it's IMPORTANT STUFF so deal with it.

So the Prinnies are real ghost penguins? While the rest of you were busy messing around with the tiger on Tuesday (not yesterday, you bozos), we found some kinda Prinny cult dance thing goin' on outside! I guess that weird girl with green hair was there too but that's not important.

[It's probably important.]

It was some kinda reincarnation dance, I don't know. Ask somebody else. A few of the random ones went. None of the-- [he pauses] --back up. Uh, there were Prinnies with like, soul colors? I mean, they all have soul colors but-- [HANDWAVES] Whatever, the point is that the soul colors were team colors! And there were seven! (Guess there's eight now.)

And freakin' Mitsuru needs to bug off. [a grumble, but it seems more out of habit than anything] Any questions??

[Why did y'all let him run the meeting RIP.]

I'm still not sure about the implications of our souls being different colors...

Or why they match the teams.

Unless... that's why they put us on the teams in the first place?

[Leo frowns.]

I have a theory but I'd have to use my power on at least a few people from different teams.

[Er-That's how they're protecting their souls?

[Saki is probably making at least a half-hearted show of pushing around one of the abandoned floaties.]

I'm still not sure whether that's better or worse than last time.

I mean, at least the penguins are more useful than we thought.

[A scoff. Did he forget about how they explode.]

Yeah. Goro wears the black and red one a lot, I think. I talked to him on that Pesterchum thing the other day.

[ Because it's hilarious.

Anyways, he's here in his new swim trunks and a tank-top. He's draped on a paw floatie. ]

Still planning on taking more of them apart?

[Vanitas just take the paw floatie with you next time. Wow. Unless they have multiple paw floaties now. Nora makes a loud grouchy sound.]

Maybe I'll just mess with the ones without colors!

[It's not as enthusiastic as it might have been last week but whatever.]

Yeah? He's the only blue one. And the penguin was annoying enough.

[He's just staring down at the water now but matter-of-fact about it.]

Aura check!

Anyone else want to volunteer, I just want to look at your auras. I won't scan for anything else, you have my word.

Go ahead.

[She's blue now! Hop hop.]

Ooh! You can look at me!

[Akira taps his foot a little, thinking it over.]

Go ahead.

[Mostly Akira's aura is cyan but there are twelve little fragments of various different colors. The brightest, strongest one is a brilliant yellow.

And then one of them is shaped like a dick. Sorry, Leo.]

[ Azura's is green of course, but there's also some noticeable cracks in it, like shattered glass. ]

[You probably don't want to look at the chainsaw for too long. Her soul is a lot more powerful than might be expected, but it's also a mess. A lot more of a mess than might be expected. Everything about her looks like it might just break apart if you give it the right tiny little shove.]

So, these shitty teams are more important than people keep tryin' to pretend they are. [She sounds kind of smug. She's been saying that the teams matter since the beginning.]

State of the Doezai

[ He's draped on the pool floatie. His face is aimed at the water as he propels himself from one end of the pool, to the other end. Like he's doing laps. ]

In case anyone doesn't know it yet, our Host's rooms are bugged. Cameras and mics. If you need to talk to him about anything, get clever about it or ask to meet him in the garage to talk about the Frog's stuff or something.

[ What are you even doing out there Ingway. ]

Secondly, our Host is wearing down. If his cover is blown, he will die.

[ there's a pause at that before he continues. ]

The Foundation will replace him. They still have a trial to finish up after all. I'm sure I don't have to explain why a new host would be bad news.

Or they might decide we have all been compromised spending so much time with him. That'll mean a full wipe and then they'll send replacements to start this trial all over again.

They could also decide they've seen enough and execute every last one of us.

My whole point is we have to be careful and to make sure the Foundation doesn't find out.

[ And to stop making him break character ]

I've been trying to ignore him in front of the cameras, but...

[It's hard. She's nowhere near the liar that Satoru was when it comes to stuff like this.]

not the fact that the rooms are bugged or that he's wearing down. because she's had that literal experience before. ]

. . . I talked to him on Saturday, before his rooms got bugged. I told him that I'll help him as much as I can to repair the 'mask' that he has. I can't fix it all the way because what he's done-- [ is basically done. none of them can change that. ] But he's been showing more and more of 'himself' and less of Dazai and that worries me.

[ there seems to be more to that, given the expression she makes on her face but she.

This isn't a question, but...I was thinking about patrolling tonight. I can't go on the roof or anything like that, but I think that at least walking inside the house and the yard should be worth something, right?

I should mention: I was able to sneak backstage after Ingway-san turned me into a cat and met Goro there.

[He pranked him, it was rude.]

They wear the prinny bodies like suits to get around. Outside of the suits you can't see them, but they're there.
