Week 4

It finally happened. Someone murdered, and was punished for it. After a particularly grueling trial, one much worse than the games ever were, everyone definitely needed the rest of the weekend to rest up. But now it is Monday once more, and that means it is time to get back to 'work'.

The cameras have moved again, and the contestants will need to be careful where they say what until their new locations have been revealed. In addition to that, the house itself seems to have changed, with its usual colorful appearance suddenly a bit more grey. Even the weather seems to be gloomy, with those storm clouds from last week starting to overcast the area, threatening to drop rain.

Seventeen contestants remain in this game of death. How many more will fall before the game is over? And how many more will be driven to murder?

[He casually looks over at Saki, then focuses back on Oda - and smiles, openly.]

Haha...it looks like you're more well cared for than you thought, hm? You're not as expendable as you believed.

[Still smiling, he goes over and pats Karen on the head, looking at her fondly before stepping back and locking eyes with Oda again.]

You're a lucky man, Oda. It seems to me that you should remember that in the future, when an opportunity to sacrifice yourself comes up again.

[Then, he shrugs - and turns away.]

Anyway! I suppose I'll see you all tonight, hm?

[odasaku]

[ oda will actually move a little closer to saki, his jaw tightened and eyes narrowing. ]

Yeah. [ he gulps ] We'll see you tonight. The three of us.

[darkremnants]

[ he's popcorning on the inside ]

I look forward to it!

[With a wave of his hand, he leaves to go inside.]

[It's fine, she can stare down Moriarty herself, expression determined.]

I won't allow another murder so easily.

[Karen, of course. But also Oda and Moriarty.

No more of this. She's done.]

As well you shouldn't!

[He's still smiling, even as he's leaving.]

I was merely pointing out that Oda shouldn't take his own life for granted, with such good people willing to walk alongside him. Don't you agree?

[allmyfriendsaredead]

[An amused huff.]

We can both agree on that.

[She has no qualms shoving him under the bus there.]

You don't have to keep staring him down like a haythatcher watching its prey, though.

[A what.]

A hawk?

[ is he mishearing things now, too? ]

It's a type of snake that resembles a bird, actually. They lay fake eggs in fake birds nests to protect their real ones.

The eggs explode into a Devil's Hand when broken or eaten. It's really unpleasant.

[odasaku]

That sounds like a lot to deal with.

[ and he didnt even understand half of it. ]

It can be, if you aren't careful. But truthfully, most of the time kids just take the fake eggs to throw at statues as a prank.

[SHRUG.]

[odasaku]

[ he chuckles, his expression softening a little. maybe he's imagining something with his own kids. ]

That sounds like something kids would do.

According to the head priest, my father egged his statue when he was the school principal.

[hatesdeerstalkers]

[He blinks - and then laughs loudly.]

Forgive me - I have to admit that I find his reactions to me quite amusing! I'm so used to everyone treating me amicably that the more fierce or frightened responses are quite novel!

...Still, I'll stop doing that from now on - you have my word.

[Her expression is dry, but she does nod.]
