WEEK 4

The weekend that just passed was....frankly, a lot. Yet despite all odds, you somehow pulled out a win from the jaws of utter defeat. As you wake up feeling tired but happy, the speakers crackle to life with the voice of The Lady.

"Attention, Guests. This week, The game is temporarily suspended. This week, there will be no mafia kill. Take a break for your hard work."

And...indeed, it seems like this is a peace week. The Staff, after the disappearance of The Captain, are acting worse than they did last week - not only is there the blankness and the stuttering, but sometimes they even get orders wrong, with potentially hazardous results. Asking the Staff for things has become more dangerous and unreliable, but at least you meals are still good. Speaking of, The Chef has put a sign up on the door, reading "DO NOT TAKE KNIVES WITHOUT ASKING FIRST!! THAT MEANS YOU!!" written in big, angry letters. The resort also seems to be gearing up for Christmas - there are lights and trees scattered around the place, as well as mistletoe for couples to get their public displays of affection on. There's also some other holiday decorations around, for Kwanzaa and....something else you definitely have never seen before. The thing....wriggles, and you don't want to be around it for long.

The weather is still nothing, except for the courtyard, which is still pleasantly snowy. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Are you getting closer to the truth of this place, maybe? It's hard to say.

[ This is apparently happening after all...and as nervous as he was, he was going to steel himself for this as best as he can. He doesn't know it'll be enough, now that he's in the moment, but...they're here to do it and he's committed to giving it his all. ]

[With a grunt, Snake approaches the vent- ready to climb on in, ready to kick off this tactical espionage action.]

[The vent is easy to open, just like before. Climbing in is easy - it's a rather large vent, so it fits everyone comfortably.

Just like before, it slowly transitions from cold metal to warm flesh, leading out into a pink, fleshy, squishy room. Nothing seems to be in the area, so...what do you all do now?]

[ Roxas grimaces, taking a look around the room to properly survey their surroundings...he'd expected that there'd be a sentry here, but nothing so far. He supposed it makes sense that things wouldn't be what someone might expect.

There has to be a few places to leave, right? It's only natural because something has to come from the other points to get to this room aside from the vents, so he points to in front of them. ]

How about we start looking closely over there?

[He winces, ew. But this is what Akira had mentioned, he looks for other entrances with Roxas - checking the tablet]

This is all kinds of horrible, actually, but Snake's nerves are more from the fact that he's not alone in this for once. He had enough confidence in not letting himself die, but these kids, and Bennings...

He looks down at the map and to where Roxas is pointing. He gives the other options a good look over and then, after a moment, nods.]

Behind me. Keep your distance, but don't get lost.

[Not-so-subtly directed at Ryoga.

And with that, Snake sneaks on.]

As they creep forward, the halls seem clear. The sound of breathing is loud in your ears, but it seems to be harmless.

You realize you're most likely near The lungs, considering how springy the material is in this area. When you come to a crossroads, the ways go north, west, and east.

Honestly, this isn't as bad as the Gluttony Labyrinth. There aren't any mouths on the wall waiting to eat you if you're not paying attention, and...

[Oh wait, a crossroads, huh?]

Never mind that, uh... I think north is probably best, but... What does everyone else think?

North, huh? [He thinks on it, weighing up their options.] Let's go.

[Okay, well, Bennings isn't actually listening to anything you guys are saying. He's still a horror movie character at heart, and horror movie characters tend to do stupid shit.

He's headed west. Bye guys.]

As Bennings heads west, the rest of you head north. The Material under your feet gets less springy and more smooth, the sound of breathing not as heavy. It looks like you'll have to keep going forward.

And as for Bennings, he comes to another springy room, with other circular, smaller rooms inside. Good job getting in one of the Alveoli, my dude. Though it doesn't feel like he's alone...]

He looks at the map and, great. He's not fucking there. They now have two options: go look for Bennings, and get incredibly, dangerously lost in the process - or keep moving forward and hope he can fend well enough for himself.]

As he goes into the smaller rooms, someone suddenly approaches from another one. It's...a girl in pink with a harpoon, who looks at him warily.

Before he can even say anything, though, she suddenly leaps forward, driving her harpoon in his chest. Without pause, she twists the weapon and pulls it back out, the barbed hooks dragging flesh and organs along with it on it's way out, strong enough to just fucking break the sternum.
