WEEK 4 MINGLE

The weekend that just passed was....frankly, a lot. Yet despite all odds, you somehow pulled out a win from the jaws of utter defeat. As you wake up feeling tired but happy, the speakers crackle to life with the voice of The Lady.
"Attention, Guests. This week, The game is temporarily suspended. This week, there will be no mafia kill. Take a break for your hard work."
And...indeed, it seems like this is a peace week. The Staff, after the disappearance of The Captain, are acting worse than they did last week - not only is there the blankness and the stuttering, but sometimes they even get orders wrong, with potentially hazardous results. Asking the Staff for things has become more dangerous and unreliable, but at least you meals are still good. Speaking of, The Chef has put a sign up on the door, reading "DO NOT TAKE KNIVES WITHOUT ASKING FIRST!! THAT MEANS YOU!!" written in big, angry letters. The resort also seems to be gearing up for Christmas - there are lights and trees scattered around the place, as well as mistletoe for couples to get their public displays of affection on. There's also some other holiday decorations around, for Kwanzaa and....something else you definitely have never seen before. The thing....wriggles, and you don't want to be around it for long.
The weather is still nothing, except for the courtyard, which is still pleasantly snowy. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.
On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Are you getting closer to the truth of this place, maybe? It's hard to say.

ARE YOU OK

Slow down.
[In spite of everything, he can't help but relax into a cautious smile.]
I'm fine. I just got...bit.
no subject
Bitten by what? Human, animal, neither, both?
[He gets back to work. He... Honestly doesn't know if any infection sustained in the extra arms will actually be capable of reaching the rest of Snake's body, but better safe than sorry!]
no subject
Neither. She looked like a woman, but...
[He reaches to the depth of his anime knowledge and short term memory.]
She was a Eosinophil.
no subject
Makes sense. I take it the immune system of our resort didn't take kindly to the intrusion?
[He's... Not gonna ask about Bennings. He can find that out in-person.]
no subject
Strange, though. She could've killed me easily - but she wanted a fight. A battle of hand-to-hand combat.
[There's some...conflicted feeling in those words.]
Never thought cells could be so complex.
no subject
they may be cells, but they are humanoid. its likely they have their own language and culture
no subject
[There's probably a pun to be made somewhere there.]
I did hear them 'talking'. Couldn't make a word out of it.
[...]
Think I should be flattered?
no subject
maybe. after all, she probably could've killed you in one blow if she wanted
like bennings.
no subject
Yeah. Like Bennings.
[He hangs his head.]
I should've gone after him.
no subject
he was killed the moment he entered that room- there's nothing you could have done, except maybe die at the same time :/
he's ok. he's shaken up, but he's ok.
no subject
Which just proves having others on missions was nothing but a liability.]
He's there with you?
[Surreal, but something he's getting used to.]
Tell him... [He trails off, and shakes his head, abandoning that train of thought.] Just take care of him, Medic.
no subject
of course. i'll do my best.
no subject
That goes for you too, Medic. Don't wear yourself thin.
no subject
I can't really promise that unless everyone else in this resort stops putting themselves in harms way
no subject
I'm trying my best. I kept pushing to be sent in alone.

We had to get them right in their rebellious phases, didn’t we?
