Week 2 Mingle

With the nature of this 'game' out, the resort might not look so welcoming anymore. The staff are still ready to jump in and serve guests in any way they can, provided a request doesn't make them short-circuit, and the resort itself seems as warm and cheery as usual. But everyone knows the truth now. This resort is hiding some pretty big secrets, and it's only a matter of time before someone else turns up dead.
The weather is holding steady, at 'cold but still safe for outdoor activities'. The temperature seems to be dipping lower each day, though, and the previously-blue sky is starting to stay grey more often than not. Could that signal an approaching snowstorm? Who know. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.
On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. But it might not be enough to put everything together yet, that might take some more time.
Most importantly, everyone needs to get to know each other. This 'game' is one of 'know your enemies', and your very survival depends on knowing when someone is acting odd.

If anyone glances at the area around these makeshift flares or approaches them to see what's going on, they'll find Ripley and Hunter nearby, watching as the colorful substance continues to pour out. He speaks as he glances up at the sky.]
...Fingers crossed, I guess.

What're you guys doing?
no subject
We're trying to signal someone.
no subject
Someone you know or...just someone else who might be out here, randomly?

Minato watches those flares go off quietly, hands shoved into his pockets.]
That's a good idea.
[A long, long pause.]
I...really hope it works.
no subject
I hope so, too. [Ripley crosses her arms.] Though...the Staff was far too willing to give me potassium nitrate.
no subject
[That sucks.]
Even so... it's good to try.

It can't hurt, at least.

It could still work.
[It could!!]
Let's hold onto hope, but not stop trying things.

Thought you might be behind this.
[His gaze trails what's left of the stream in the sky as it goes.]
Think anyone will see it?
no subject
Let's hope someone does. [Ripley shakes her head.] If not, well...it's not like that much was wasted, anyways.
no subject
You think they’ll let anyone within a mile of this place?
[He takes out a cigarette and lighter, not lighting up for now, only sparking it on contemplation.]

[Ripley pokes at one of the flares, which makes it send up another puff of colorful smoke.] Let's hope visibility isn't too bad--this is the highest point we can get, after all.
no subject
If no one saw the fireworks Minato and I caused last week, I don't know how well this'll work.
But. . . it's a good idea.
[thanks for trying, Ripley]

Seeing it isn't actually them, he goes ahead and comes closer. ]
How long will this last?
thats valid
A few hours, hopefully. Probably would've been smarter to wait until one had died down before setting off another, but with more volume there's a greater chance of it being seen.
[She glances towards him, crossing her arms.] Plus, unless I want my fingers to fall off, I don't plan on staying out in the snow for more than a few hours.

[Plus crayons, if you want! Which gives it that color.]
I learned how to make it during college. Me and my friends wanted to test out this thing we saw on the Internet. That's what happens when you get a bunch of drunk engineering majors together with too much time on their hands.
