WEEK 2

With the nature of this 'game' out, the resort might not look so welcoming anymore. The staff are still ready to jump in and serve guests in any way they can, provided a request doesn't make them short-circuit, and the resort itself seems as warm and cheery as usual. But everyone knows the truth now. This resort is hiding some pretty big secrets, and it's only a matter of time before someone else turns up dead.

The weather is holding steady, at 'cold but still safe for outdoor activities'. The temperature seems to be dipping lower each day, though, and the previously-blue sky is starting to stay grey more often than not. Could that signal an approaching snowstorm? Who know. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. But it might not be enough to put everything together yet, that might take some more time.

Most importantly, everyone needs to get to know each other. This 'game' is one of 'know your enemies', and your very survival depends on knowing when someone is acting odd.

[ So, he doesn't really know what a flare is. He's just watching the smoke drift upwards, and he doesn't really understand what's going on. ]

What're you guys doing?

[wrongtiming]

[He glances towards Roxas, raising a hand in greeting.]

We're trying to signal someone.

[13thpromise]

[ He'll raise a hand real quick himself and then look back at the smoke again. Then his gaze falls back to Hunter. ]

Someone you know or...just someone else who might be out here, randomly?

[wrongtiming]

[He shakes his head.]

Someone who might be on the other side of the boundary that we can't get past. If they saw us, then... It's a long shot, but maybe they could do something.

[13thpromise]

But if we're in a void, would they be able to see us?

[ ... ]

...I think it was at least a good try at least.

[wrongtiming]

Well, if they could the entire time and nobody ever gave it a shot, we'd feel pretty stupid, right?

[13thpromise]

[ He looks like he's giving it a thought, then he looks back at the trail of smoke again. ]

I don't think they'd be able to, with the way things are here...they probably have some way to distort it and everything. If it weren't for that, I think it'd work out.

[ ... ]

I'd hope I'm wrong, but they're pretty good at finding ways to keep things under their control. For now, anyway.

[wrongtiming]

[After a moment:]

...Again, I'm not holding my breath, but we literally don't lose anything from trying.

[13thpromise]

...Yeah, that's true.

[wrongtiming]

Yeah. So maybe chill on the whole 'it's pointless' thing.

[Said with a small frown.]

[13thpromise]

[ Perking up a little. ]

Hey, did you hear me right a second ago? I didn't say it was entirely pointless.

[wrongtiming]

The most optimistic thing you said was that it's true we don't lose anything from trying.

[13thpromise]

That's still different from saying that something was pointless. Don't put words in my mouth, especially ones that aren't true.

[wrongtiming]

[He looks like he wants to say something else for a moment, but...]

Okay, sure.

[13thpromise]

[ There's a moment of silence on his part, where he's kind of just...trying to decide what to do. He got so heated over this, but...they're all trying their best here, he doesn't need to add to the stress. ]

Good luck with this thing, I think it was still a good idea to try, and ... I really hope it works out somehow.

[ At that though, he'll just turn and head off. ]
