Week 2 Mingle

WEEK 2

With the nature of this 'game' out, the resort might not look so welcoming anymore. The staff are still ready to jump in and serve guests in any way they can, provided a request doesn't make them short-circuit, and the resort itself seems as warm and cheery as usual. But everyone knows the truth now. This resort is hiding some pretty big secrets, and it's only a matter of time before someone else turns up dead.

The weather is holding steady, at 'cold but still safe for outdoor activities'. The temperature seems to be dipping lower each day, though, and the previously-blue sky is starting to stay grey more often than not. Could that signal an approaching snowstorm? Who know. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. But it might not be enough to put everything together yet, that might take some more time.

Most importantly, everyone needs to get to know each other. This 'game' is one of 'know your enemies', and your very survival depends on knowing when someone is acting odd.

[... Aw, Ripley. He's a pretty observant guy, honestly, especially when it comes to other people; he notes that quietly, and then softly:]

Let's... make that a "definitely", instead of a "could've", okay?

I'll be looking forward to it, when we get out of here and can enjoy ourselves more.

[She snorts.] Whatever you say, kid.

[Still, she...really appreciates it.]

You ever been to New York City? Me and my wife were thinking of moving there--better air quality than Luna. And better food.

No, never... but I've always wanted to travel outside of Japan.

[Contemplatively:]

They're supposed to have good pizza there, right?

The best.

[There's a grin again. Ah, the ingenuity of Italian Americans.]

A lot of people here seem to be from Japan, huh? Maybe I should visit, myself.

[If...uh...they ever find a way around that weird time gap...]

[Time gap...various issues...it's fine.]

You should. We can trade off--but first, pizza, because you offered.

[Food!! He won't forget.]

I'm pretty sure our pizza in Japan is pretty different, so I'm counting on you. [He's not being serious, it's fine. It's just... nice to talk about something a bit more lighthearted.]

[It is nice...especially since Ripley has essentially been Non-Stop Plan-Making ever since she got here.]

Yeah, not even Italians have anything on New York pizza. Italians. The inventors of pizza.

[She crosses her arms.] Maybe you can confirm the authenticity of New York sushi, huh?

[Minato's only real experience with pizza is Japanese style pizza, so this honestly sounds pretty fun to him...

It's gonna blow his mind.]

That good, huh...? Now I'm even more excited.

That sounds fun too... Like a cultural exchange thing. Sushi and pizza... Dinners of champions.
