WEEK 2

With the nature of this 'game' out, the resort might not look so welcoming anymore. The staff are still ready to jump in and serve guests in any way they can, provided a request doesn't make them short-circuit, and the resort itself seems as warm and cheery as usual. But everyone knows the truth now. This resort is hiding some pretty big secrets, and it's only a matter of time before someone else turns up dead.

The weather is holding steady, at 'cold but still safe for outdoor activities'. The temperature seems to be dipping lower each day, though, and the previously-blue sky is starting to stay grey more often than not. Could that signal an approaching snowstorm? Who know. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. But it might not be enough to put everything together yet, that might take some more time.

Most importantly, everyone needs to get to know each other. This 'game' is one of 'know your enemies', and your very survival depends on knowing when someone is acting odd.

[Ripley frowns.] That's probably a smart idea. If there is a next time.

[She's running out of ideas of how to otherwise make contact with anyone outside of this godforsaken resort.]

Even if someone else did manage to see the signal, we would have no way of actually knowing. I doubt the Staff would allow anyone to attempt to contact us.

[ Nodding. He's not gonna judge if she only tries once, in his mind once is better than not at all. ]

A good point. Besides, there's no reason for us to believe anyone on the outside can make it through the forest. Even if someone notices your signal, they may not make it to us.

[xenoqueen]

[Ripley nods, sighing and crossing her arms. It's hard not to sound like a broken record, repeating again and again that they have to try despite everything.]

You think anyone here's going to face any real consequences for what they do? Like...the murderers or the mafia.

[Not to...mention...the weirdness about ghosts....]

No. Guilt may be the extent of it, and that's only if the mafia isn't aware of what they're doing.

[ Yeah... The, uh, ghosts sure make things weird. ]

[Hmph. She's still under the impression that the mafia is fully aware of what they're doing.]

Even if they aren't aware, that still doesn't mean they're not murderers.

[Murder is still murder...]

... I agree, but I doubt everyone else will see it that way. Even if they're executed, every murderer will be forgiven. That is what I meant by facing no consequences.

[xenoqueen]

[Ripley crosses her arms, seemingly displeased by this possibility, but begrudgingly accepting it.]

That's what happens when you have a bunch of kids together in a situation like this, I guess.

Children see hope in even the bleakest situations. [ He's not doing much beyond dejectedly affirming what she's saying. He can't help but be reminded of the past, even if this is an inopportune moment for it.

He averts his gaze toward the snow and tries to change the subject. ] What kind of repercussions do you want the mafia to face?

[xenoqueen]

[Ripley scoffs, putting her hands on her hips.]

Would it be drastic if I said I wanted them to die? If they're monsters, they should be treated as such.

[Do you think she survived the alien threat by making friends with it????]

... No. If there's nothing left of the people they were, it's understandable you'd feel that way.
