ROUND 5 WATCHING POST

Everyone who was there in some shape or form for the meeting on March 1st gets a notice that soon, the location where they'll have to go to watch what happened in the Winchester Incident will be made available for them. Frisk requests a list of those going to see what happened, but doesn't seem to discourage high numbers.

And shortly before the 30th, those that signed up will finally get a name and place - The Hayes Mansion, only a little bit away by drive from the Winchester House. As they drive, the more magically inclined might be able to sense a powerful barrier emanating from the direction the Winchester House is located, though they'll be unable to see anything.

Arriving there, they'll find that any and all other guests have been removed from the Hotel resort, and there's a sign on the door saying that it is Closed for major renovation and fumigation, which would explain the outfits you were given to be 'seen' walking into the place with, as well as all the vans and 'containers' you were told to put your belongings into.

Once inside, a helpful staff member directs you to put the costumes into a specific bin for collection- unless, of course, you would like to keep wearing them - and then another directs you to the front desk, where a pleasant, yet authoritative man is waiting.

[Okay so that sucked a lot!! Thankfully between Azura's song and all the status curing spells everyone should be okay-ish.

Which is why Ren drags some chairs over in the Lobby and calls everyone over]

So... we should all go over what the fuck all that was. Because even if we get a lead from the recordings odds are we're gonna have to go in that house and if just a little bit of that soot was able to mess half of us up who knows what a whole building of it will do.

Suggestions? Also, we should make sure the USSBs aren't going to randomly go all evil on us too.

[Sherlock, as expected, was studying the blank dossiers between tapes, when he saw a change. He quickly sends a message]

Three of the Dossiers had revealed themselves: Mo Xuanyu, Battler Ushiromiya, and Ango Sakaguchi.

I suspect the rest will reappear not too long after.

But here he is. Watching this segment a few times in confusion. ]

[ Sakura's watching of Rin has been...on and off. It's been hard to see her in this situation, knowing she's dead, been dead for twenty years already. But she's tuned in to Rin talking to this Battler fellow. And then it--gets weird, really quickly, and Sakura finds herself clutching at her skirts as Rin starts telling him about her life, about their family, and saying like "had" as in "I had a sister"--if Rin was from an earlier point in time, that would make a little sense, right? She sort of talked like that. Like they weren't sisters anymore. It was just a thing that happened.

But then Rin keeps talking. And talking. And talking. And she keeps telling Battler all of Sakura's secrets. She's told Watanuki and Syaoran a lot of what she's been through, but not everything and here Rin is, laying everything out to some man Sakura doesn't know.

She turns to whoever else is watching this scene in the shop. ]

Stop the tapes!

[ Rin keeps talking.

"The chance that Sakura could be saved was nil."

No, no, no. She ran away! Kotomine tried to save her, and she heard Rin talking about her in the church, and she ran away!

Rin keeps talking.

She turns on the group chat. Gets her phone out, tries to remember the number of who's in charge at the Hayes mansion site, but she can't, she's just fumbling with the buttons in a blind panic, tears beading at the corners of her eyes.

"So I killed her myself." ]

Stop the tapes! Turn them off! Turn the tapes off!

[Okay. Alright. Ozaki originally wasn't going to step forward much in these proceedings. He wasn't going to step forward except he has some problems about whats being said.

This is definitely leaning towards an exasperated lecturer tone.]

Alright. For the sake of everyone getting the facts:

An adult has about four to six pints of blood in their body. An average adult would need to lose 14% , or about half a pint to four-fifths of a pint of blood to begin to show any major side effects or have any measurable changes in their vitals. If the person is smaller, younger, prone to anemia, et cetera-- any of these could mean the amount needed to be lost would be smaller.

This would still be a noticeable amount of blood. Ignoring the amount of blood present at the scene, or not having proof it was wiped up, isn't sound logic.

[He rubs at the stubble on his chin, wanting nothing more than to smoke but not willing to do it around the equipment at this time.]

Some people can also lose more blood than that, not a lot granted, and still put up a good enough show about being unaffected, if they know how bloodloss feels and have the dedication and willpower.

WEEK ONE RECAP

[personal profile] dereban 2020-04-19 06:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, everyone!

[claps everyone to attention]

I think we need a recap on everything so that everyone is caught up. And I also found some information based on what's come up through a quick search online, so.

What we know so far:

One - the house is cursed by some sort of spiritual, ghost thing. It's been there for decades. Other people who actually experienced it can elaborate more on that. A follow up on that is that, as of right now, people with divine powers or nullification seem to negate it. We did see Dazai's ability do something pretty significant to the vessel, so that's something to note... Anyway, this might change in the future, so keep your eyes open.

Two - Rooms seem to move around by week, based on the note Rin found.

Three - Do not, under any circumstances, use anything demonic on the goddamn curse. Make sure you know what you have when we decide to go there.

Four - The vessel they met at the beginning of the week is named Todd. Searching it up, I got a full name: "Todd Mcnamara". There's a missing persons report around early November 1999 that says that five people, alongside him, went missing. They're all college students from this area, and strangely enough... the family members did remember about their existence. So, if anybody wants to craft theories based on that, feel free.

Five - More on the vessel: apparently he feels his death constantly. Also, I'll add that there were a lot of spider-related details brought up. You might want to look up the the poem, The Spider and the Fly by Mary Howitt. Although it's good to mention that his eyes turned entirely purple, too.

Six - regarding the game, apparently the vessel looked confused as to why they decided to make it a murder game? Like saying stuff like 'because we wanted to' and 'it seemed like something we should do'... which is strange.

Seven - There's a note in the staff bedroom that was dated in August 1922, talking about tasks to complete. That's 78 years before the year these tapes were in. They also found a pair of boots that are a part of a Foundation uniform. There were also Foundation uniforms found in the dressing room as well.

Eight - There are traps in the house. Please keep this in mind.

Nine - Battler seems to have noticed that, by looking outside, the entire city is gone, and the sky has gone silver. Like past the remote area, there's just nothing, and there are silver threads and no sun in the sky. Also the bodies of everyone else that didn't join the twenty-nine were found, half-melted.

And as for the first murder and trial, I know it's fresh in everyone's minds, but I'll repeat the basics anyway: Olympia was the one who was found dead. It was an accident due to the fact that Sho Minamoto is a stubborn man who can't take no for an answer. Anyway, the correct culprit was executed, a new vessel has been chosen, and people did their own thing the rest of the weekend. We'll probably hear more on Monday.

I think that's it. . . let me know if I missed any other vital information that might have come up, but that's most of it.

Feel free to share any theories and thoughts. Oh, also, I will say I can't see any of the ghost antics so if anybody 'goes ghost' and isn't part of the...vessel, someone else might have to speak on that.

RE: Olympia's ghost

[personal profile] literalidiotball 2020-04-20 05:31 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Well. If Sho had been the true Vessel, Wheatley might have stuck around to watch more of it. But it's actually Olympia, and the non-miasma-induced flashbacks of his time in Her body are flooding back in.

And then Olympia goes and does this. ]

Oh! ... Oh, that's... Erm... If you need me, I'm gonna be in the lobby for a bit. [ He gets up to leave, taking one of the laptops with him. ] Let me know what happens. Bye.

[ You're free to discuss without him, but if you wanna poke him he'll be in the lobby, working on the laptop... No, he's got Winchester-related stuff in seperate tabs and he's playing QWOP to get his mind off things. ]

WEEK TWO RECAP

[personal profile] dereban 2020-04-26 05:40 pm (UTC)(link)
[clears throat, claps to attention]

Alright, recap for this week! If I've missed anything, feel free to add to this and obviously giving your thoughts on everything that's happened so far - also, I won't be going too in-depth regarding the murder and execution this week, so please bear with me.

First: We've learned that Olympia became the new vessel. She has stated that why she's being used is that 'it is how things must be done'. Other things she mentioned was 'the pain she feels is already outside the boundaries of logic' considering that apparently she did not feel pain before and being chosen as the vessel means 'she has merged with the curse at an accelerated rate'. Also, the criteria of becoming the vessel is just simply that it will always be someone who is dead when the decision is made.

Second: We also know that other dead people - as we've seen Sho, are ghosts too, but part of the curse. More on that later. He mentioned on Monday that his suffering is already added to the curse. Which... might mean that the more suffering that is added, the stronger the curse gets? That's just a theory, though, so take it with a grain of salt.

Three: Traps confirmed being laid by the ghosts, so if anybody goes inside the House, be careful. Also, rooms seem to move every week, too.

Four: This is probably obvious, but everyone should pay attention to the skillsets of everyone that's died - it seems that winds up being incorporated to any of the ghosts, which means we might have a hugeass multi-boss fight if and when we go in there.

Five: Apparently Sho mentioned that he sees something different, as he is now, and compares it to darkness - one where it's lighter to keep your eyes closed. And how it seems that the curse reaches out for you and what lies in the center of the house is a black hole. It could be literal or figurative; there was also some mention during the meeting this week regarding this that the reason the rooms change weekly is to hide the 'center' of the house. Which might be where the source is.

Six: We'll probably find more information on this later, but there was a thick gold class ring that was found; there's an eagle head on one side and the numbers 97 on the other. The stone itself is also black.

Seven: There was also a photo of a woman in a bathing suit found in the boiler room. There's really nice writing that says 'for you big guy xoxo' on the back.

Eight: So Tuesday and Wednesday are the big days this week, I'll be covering both of them in one go - so they found an A-class Agent who referred to them as 'Agent T'; they stated that the miasma seems to come from the same place and that it's one room. If they find the room, they'll find the source. That's the short version on Tuesday, that they were communicating via morse. Anyway, Wednesday is just a mess. Short version is that they were going to attempt to find Agent T... except they find out that he's dead. Also, he's not Tages, who we're looking for, but instead is Timothy Turner. People who recognize that name may now laugh hollowly at it. He was apparently killed as punishment and that he should not have said what he did. I assume this is probably referring to the fact that he mentioned that the miasma's source comes from one location? The miasma seems to take issue with that, I think.

Nine: We also find out the Agent's note matches the one that was found on Sunday.

Ten: Jack was the victim and Yuri was the culprit; it was basically an accident caused by a lot of errors. Things that were noted in the week two trial were the facts that the culprit cannot announce that they did it or else they will face consequences and only a culprit that is cornered may confess without incurring any additional penalty. Also, Olympia mentioned that the deaths of any people who are killed by any Vessel do not count for executions.

Aaaand last but not least, in something that we're truly shocked about [spoken dryly, she's being sarcastic, guys] we're getting a vessel switch for next week.

I think that's it! If you guys want to do any searches on anything that was mentioned here or want to clarify, add anything, or pose theories, now's the time.
improbablenotimpossible: (You see but do not observe)
