RECORDING 7: THE THIRD WEEK.

A third week in this place begins, with less of your number among you. The final week completely covered by everyone's rations, though with proper meting out, you'll be able to make it stretch until after week 4. It seems as if everyone will have to go without a few meals here and there..
To make things worse, when you wake up - it's clear the Miasma has gotten thicker. Everyone, save those still protected either by their powers or items they brought with them, is now even more deeply affected by the curse. Arguments will be flaring up more, along with negative thoughts and feelings...and even more worrying Is that any magic that touches the house itself will corrode over time. If a barrier is put in place and touches the floor, walls, or ceiling, in half a day it will be completely consumed by the miasma and fizzle out. Spells or seals will also corrode, and even personal healing abilities have been halved.
The Temperature has dropped, just a bit - down to the mid to low 60's. Strange, isn't it? As before, the rooms have changed, so hopefully you kept anything essential in the static area.
25 of your number still remain.
...What new horrors await you this week?
A new vessel...!
CALL TIME IS 0800 HOURS. ALL SOLDIERS SHOULD REPORT TO THE LIVING ROOM FOR THIS WEEK'S MISSION BRIEFING. FALL IN OR FACE THE CONSEQUENCES. DISMISSED!
[ At 8:00 A.M., right on the dot, you'll find Jack Morrison, but most definitely not how you remember him. He's dressed like so, with a purple outfit instead of red. However the white hair, facial scars, red eyes, and sexy smokey eye are all present. He stands rigidly at attention. ]
Fall in here!
[ He's waiting for everyone to fall into line. When enough people have showed up and are standing at some sort of attention, he loosens slightly and gives a slight smirk. ]
Right on time, that's what I like to see in my recruits.
Got a couple of announcements to make, so you best listen up!
Number One: I'm serving as the new Vessel for this week. Got any questions about the game this week? Best come to me with them. Remember, I'm a soldier first and foremost and I don't tolerate insubordination. Keep that in mind when you talk to me.
[ looks at every single one of them in turn ]
Number Two: You have been granted access to a new part of the Mansion. Your orders are to explore and find new ways for you to murder each other. Make this fun for me, copy?
As I've said before, Exploring can and will be dangerous. Don't get yourselves killed, unless you're planning on actually doing it.
[ He looks like he's just about finished with everything, but before they can even relax, he barks out a final note ]
And Number Three: I'm not too happy about last week's show. Let's make things more interesting this week, shall we? Kill someone and get away with it, and we'll free one person of your choice from this group. Sound good?
[ Not waiting for any sort of response, he snaps back into attention and calls out a final order: ] DISMISSED.

I have a question, sir. How do we know that you'll actually go through with your promise?

How are we to know that this promise is good? You cannot exactly blame us for being wary of unclear wording, or promises that seem too good to be true.

A clarification, sir. [ Dealing with someone who demands authority is much easier than a robot even if he can't use keigo. ] You said we can free a person of our choice, does that includes ourself?

But ever since the trial, a question has been on his mind. And he has to ask.]
So, if someone confesses at the trial, what happens to them?
[Since he's assuming the restrictions placed on Yuri were because she wouldn't have wanted someone else to be punished in her place.]

Good thing Subete is already up as usual. There's a wave from where he's hanging out like a shadow in his dumb barrier bubble at the back of the group as always.]
Rule about breaking out is still in place, isn't it? Sounds to me like this counts as part of a breakout, which might make people think twice about really going for it. How about relaxing that rule for the week? Doable?

[Well this is new isn't it. Quickly learning that he does not like new things in this context. He'll stand up straighter to address Morrison, but no other soldierly things.]
And would this person be free to return to the world as it was before we set foot in here?
