Everyone who was there in some shape or form for the meeting on March 1st gets a notice that soon, the location where they'll have to go to watch what happened in the Winchester Incident will be made available for them. Frisk requests a list of those going to see what happened, but doesn't seem to discourage high numbers.

And shortly before the 30th, those that signed up will finally get a name and place - The Hayes Mansion, only a little bit away by drive from the Winchester House. As they drive, the more magically inclined might be able to sense a powerful barrier emanating from the direction the Winchester House is located, though they'll be unable to see anything.

Arriving there, they'll find that any and all other guests have been removed from the Hotel resort, and there's a sign on the door saying that it is Closed for major renovation and fumigation, which would explain the outfits you were given to be 'seen' walking into the place with, as well as all the vans and 'containers' you were told to put your belongings into.

Once inside, a helpful staff member directs you to put the costumes into a specific bin for collection- unless, of course, you would like to keep wearing them - and then another directs you to the front desk, where a pleasant, yet authoritative man is waiting.

When I tried to see what was up with the doors, I got a vision of when I died. But others were talking about how it just made them feel all kinds of negative emotions?

I think Sherlock said something about a curse when he was trying to get the USBs, too.

Ah- so the Staff led us down into an area containing various SCPs, but she couldn't remember which door the USBs were in, so we had to choose between an oily corrosive door or the sooty one. Um, a lot of stuff happened and she turned out to be evil, but there was this black smoke stuff that affected everyone really badly.

Maybe that's the curse?

Did anybody check what's in the oily door later? And maybe that's the curse but-- uh. If she turned out to be evil. What happened to her?

Okay, uh... I think the oily door ate part of Sherlock's glove, so there's no way anyone wanted to check on that.

And I have no idea what happened to her, but Oda started running, she started yelling about some sort of death mask, and I wanted to get out of there so the actual combat people could... Well. You know.

I totally bolted when the boss fight started!

It - was trying to pry out some... rather unsavory parts of myself into the open, every negative feeling, flaw, all trying to come out at once.

I think that might have been what messed up my Persona too- they're tamed desires, so having all that crap flooding it couldn't have been good for them.

It did seem to wreak havoc on my being, and that I believe is only essentially a small dosage of this 'Curse'.

Is the curse just something that draws out those feelings?

Draws out - and I suspect amplifies them.

Nothing that went through my head was anything out of character for me... loathe as I am to admit it.

Oof. And if the barrier's over the Winchester House...

That means the curse itself is probably in there, right?

I saw a vision of how I died back then as well when I was sensing for spiritual stuff as well.

And there was definitely a lot of negative emotions associated with all of that. . .

A force making people feel intense fear and despair sounds pretty curse-like!

I managed to be alright the first time since I can handle things like that pretty well.

It definitely felt like it was amplifying those negative emotions. Curses like that are pretty common, and depending on its strength can be an issue. I think I'll have to do even more research on curses. Especially ones that might have a root cause with ghosts.

I couldn't tell if it was amplifying anything when I first saw it, but it was already really bad when I died.

I felt another wave of negative feelings when she went crazy on us, though. Do you think we're going to need to appease a bunch of cursed ghosts?

You have no idea, mate. It was like being hooked up to Her body all over again. Except... Well... With limbs. And less neurotoxin and all that.

Though now that I think of it, you think that curse was like some kind of magic neurotoxin?

Hopefully the curse isn't as permanently damaging as actual neurotoxins!

Permanently damaging- Is that how they kill you? I mean, I haven't been affected by neurotoxins before, so this is news.

Humans need their brains to live, so if neurotoxins shut them down, we're toast! Like if a virus got into you and shut down all of your base functions.
