ROUND 5 WATCHING POST

Everyone who was there in some shape or form for the meeting on March 1st gets a notice that soon, the location where they'll have to go to watch what happened in the Winchester Incident will be made available for them. Frisk requests a list of those going to see what happened, but doesn't seem to discourage high numbers.

And shortly before the 30th, those that signed up will finally get a name and place - The Hayes Mansion, only a little bit away by drive from the Winchester House. As they drive, the more magically inclined might be able to sense a powerful barrier emanating from the direction the Winchester House is located, though they'll be unable to see anything.

Arriving there, they'll find that any and all other guests have been removed from the Hotel resort, and there's a sign on the door saying that it is Closed for major renovation and fumigation, which would explain the outfits you were given to be 'seen' walking into the place with, as well as all the vans and 'containers' you were told to put your belongings into.

Once inside, a helpful staff member directs you to put the costumes into a specific bin for collection- unless, of course, you would like to keep wearing them - and then another directs you to the front desk, where a pleasant, yet authoritative man is waiting.

So someone tried to write everything about this out of existence, but it didn’t stick.

[ this seems ridiculously sketchy for oda tbh. ]

Has anyone tried to approach it?

-Eh?!
improbablenotimpossible: (You know my methods)

[personal profile] improbablenotimpossible 2020-03-31 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
That... is highly unusual.

[To put it very mildly]
allmyfriendsaredead: ([Worry] "Where are you?")

[personal profile] allmyfriendsaredead 2020-03-31 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
It what?!

[EXCUSE?!!]

But- the Foundation must have remembered what happened, right? There was an O5 lost there, after all.
improbablenotimpossible: (A three pipe problem)

[personal profile] improbablenotimpossible 2020-03-31 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
It... might explain why it took so long for them to actually start looking for the O5.
allmyfriendsaredead: ([Fear] In a breeze)

[personal profile] allmyfriendsaredead 2020-03-31 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
But-

[Ohhhhh wow she hates all of this, suddenly. Which might be why she can't seem to come up with any further words.]
oceanicbutterfly: ([k] Oh?)

[personal profile] oceanicbutterfly 2020-03-31 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
Had you heard anything about a missing O5 before a month ago?
allmyfriendsaredead: ([Sweat] Right now)

[Sorry, mom's dealing with memloss issues again.]

It’s not an easy house to miss.

[ he’s really confused, but at least he keeps it behind a stoic face. ]

Could it be that it was “removed”? Like... the text?

[personal profile] odasaku 2020-03-31 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
That’s alright. This is already a big help. And by guests do you mean locals and tourists or other Foundation agents?

Hm? That's strange...

[This incident reshaped Foundation politics for 6350's, didn't it? Yet people forgot it even happened until five years ago? Something doesn't add up here...]
oceanicbutterfly: ([k] Oh?)

[personal profile] oceanicbutterfly 2020-03-31 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
Troit-san?

[do you have something to say]

[personal profile] duskhound 2020-03-31 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
If the Foundation had forgotten about the incident for 15 years, then why is it that the Foundation instituted the change in treatment of 6350's in response to the incident? An incident they couldn't even remember?

[Guess who still believes that the Foundation has reasonable people in it?]

Wait, I have another question! The Winchester House... is it a House like you and Hotel Cali...?
iblistriggered: we’re all just saying dumb shit then going to bed (At the end of the day)

oceanicbutterfly: ([k] I don't like this roller coaster)

[personal profile] oceanicbutterfly 2020-03-31 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
Something's changed recently, then. There was some kind of common cause to the two, maybe an information anomaly of some kind, and it's suddenly weakening. Like...

[...oh fuck.]

Like whatever was creating it suddenly stopped, and the effects are fading away.

[personal profile] odasaku 2020-03-31 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe.

[ he has to be honest here, the chances don’t seem very good for them. ]

But maybe not. We can’t jump to conclusions yet. If they’re dead then wouldn’t the barrier disappeared completely?

...the way I originally found out about Precure was because the monsters we fought had a property the Foundation calls a failure to transfer ontological inertia. They would heavily damage the surroundings, but once the monster was destroyed, everything would go back to normal.

If something like that is happening here, it could really be a bad sign.
