The morning seemed so far away yesterday - yet, it also seems too soon when morning comes and you are all yet again ushered to the third floor by The Lady. The Captain is there, in all of his....wait, no, he's asleep.

The doors close, and...nothing happens. There's still the box labeled 'VOTES' in his lap on the couch, but...

On the table is a letter, that reads 'Only one person may be voted for execution this week. Please figure out who that will be during the time limit.'

As you finish reading that, music begins to play in the room...

There were wet footsteps going from the pool towards Owain's room. The feet were on the bigger side. The room was locked when we got there.

[She’s got pictures on her tablet of the footprints compared to her own foot, so we could probably do a shoe size check at some point.]

We should see if they match anyone here. [She crosses her arms, frowning.] Or maybe it was Iwai?

[Ryoga unwraps a bandana revealing a knife, before carefully setting it down for inspection]

We found this Knife near Iwai-san's body in the gravity room.

Then I... changed to sniff out the areas. There were three different scents in total - The Acrid smell - the Barghest, the smell of spiders, and a third smell

[Snake folds his arms with a grunt.]

We found Shirou in the courtyard. He was wrapped up in silk, but it didn't look like Jorogumo got him. No bite marks, and he had all his fluids...save for some of his blood that came out of the cocoon. Seems he was killed by a sword wound to the heart. There was another to the abdomen, and some scars on his back. Looked like lightning was responsible.

Couldn't figure out footprints in the snow. Too scuffed up.

[ Just gives a nod. That all checks out to him, apparently. ]

Why would it change how it kills? It's pretty hard to beat spider powers already, I would have expected them to go with what works.

[And Iwai somehow fits into this Ripley rubs the back of her neck, frowning.]

Is there anyone we know who is proficient in using swords?

Lightning?

Who here has lightning abilities? That's difficult to replicate, isn't it?

There was a large strand of silk, stuck to the ceiling and close to the door to Inaba's room. Her room was unlocked.

Me and Akira managed to get the silk this time, so I brought it in case someone can figure anything out from it.

[Though it seems to be attached to a stick now?]

Owain and I went back to look at the body. The magic used was a low level lightning spell, with the sword activated as it was stabbing Shirou.

Importantly, this is not how this sword is supposed to be used.

[she glances at Owain-- and maybe Gerome or Cynthia.]

That's correct, the Levin Sword is meant for magic attacks only. It's not meant to be used to physically stab your opponents.

[ Welp, guess she's contributing today. ]

Inaba-san was wrapped in spider silk in the greenhouse. She had two marks on her neck, but they didn't look consistent with each other. One looked to be a rougher bite mark, while the other looked cleaner. It seemed like she'd probably been drained that way?

There wasn't any sign of a struggle.

[That last part, that's what makes Atsushi's mood absolutely tank.]

... The Jorogumo really is acting strange this time, isn't it?

Tsumugi and I were at the pool. We found the Levin Sword. I'm familiar with the blade—but I'll allow her to explain more about how she retrieved it. She took it with her after we parted ways.

We found some golden webbing on a folded towel nearby, though I'm uncertain if Tsumugi uncovered more after I left.

[he mumbles that to himself, although his words are audible]

Didn't we find a towel with webbing the last time the spider attacked someone?

[And, quietly:]

I have pictures of Iwai-san's body, but...

... Don't look if you can't handle gore.

[Because it's really bad. (Cw for gore and just Bad)]

Also, um... When we checked out Inaba's room, we found some notes and letters. You can all check them out, though I can't actually read most of them.

[And she pulls out whatever letters and notes haven't already been distributed to people.]

One last thing... the flowers Inaba-san's body was found by. They were higanbana, a symbol of death in Japan, or spider lilies in English.

I don't know if that really points to anything either way, since either a Japanese or western person would have a symbolic reason to choose that particular spot, but...
