The morning seemed so far away yesterday - yet, it also seems too soon when morning comes and you are all yet again ushered to the third floor by The Lady. The Captain is there, in all of his....wait, no, he's asleep.

The doors close, and...nothing happens. There's still the box labeled 'VOTES' in his lap on the couch, but...

On the table is a letter, that reads 'Only one person may be voted for execution this week. Please figure out who that will be during the time limit.'

As you finish reading that, music begins to play in the room...

Owain and I went back to look at the body. The magic used was a low level lightning spell, with the sword activated as it was stabbing Shirou.

Importantly, this is not how this sword is supposed to be used.

[she glances at Owain-- and maybe Gerome or Cynthia.]

That's correct, the Levin Sword is meant for magic attacks only. It's not meant to be used to physically stab your opponents.

[she places a hand on his shoulder.

My Levin Sword was found in the pool, it's currently in Tsumugi's possession at the moment.

From looking at the sword, I could tell that someone used it with enough force to pierce bone. As Makoto confirmed, we examined Shirou's body together, and the lightning damage he sustained was consistent with that of a low level lightning spell. The stab wounds he suffered were consistent with the Levin Sword's blade. Whoever killed Shirou stabbed him with it and activated the magic of the sword.

The Levin Sword is a magic sword that draws power from the magic of the user to fire lightning at opponents, unlike a regular sword that uses a swordsman's strength. Anybody proficient with swords could use, but only those with a large amount of magic within them can deal significant damage with it.

And then they went to your room.

[ He gives Owain a stern look here. ]

Though that doesn't confirm they went inside.

I went to my room afterwards with Rean, and we saw that nothing was out of place within it, asides from my missing sword.

... As a note, I've barely been in my room at all this week.

So you wouldn't notice anyone stealing anything from it?

I wouldn't have, I've only gone back to get clothes when needed.

Did you have the sword hidden?

[swordhandled]

Hidden, no, but I did not leave it just lying about.

[ too many times has he just tripped over a sword at home because someone left it lying about ]

Did you not realize your sword was missing until Friday morning, when it was found in the pool?

That's right, yeah.

Can you tell me everything you did Thursday night? I know you said you were with Gerome-san, but I want exact details.

So what you're saying is that to kill with the lightning, someone would have to have a lot of magic... But because they might not have had a lot of magic, they had to use it physically?

That would be the best way to use the Levin Sword, yes. Dark Knights-- ah, that is, mounted soldiers that use swords and tomes, would be the best users.

What about when you use the sword, Owain-kun? What's the lightning output like? How well can you control it?

--I've inherited quite a fair bit of magic from my mother. She was a Sage and tried to teach me how to use staves and tomes, but I always followed after my father and chose the sword. Last week was the first time I truly used it and it was... more powerful than I expected.

Is it possible for someone not you to use the Levin Sword?

Yes, anybody can use it. It's not attuned to me, like say Mystletainn.

[ puts a hand on one of the swords at his waist ]

Is in intuitive? That is to say. . . could someone who has no idea how to activate the lightning activate it with no problem?

Or would they need to be familiar with your world and its magic to do so?
