Intro log: Welcome to The Resort!

Before you even open your eyes, you can tell something is not right. It's cold. Not quite unbearably so, but cold enough that you can take notice of it. And as soon as you open your eyes, you will be able to see why it's so cold: you're in the middle of a snowy forest, with only a single two-lane road cutting through the thick trees.
Unfortunately, you seem to be without transportation. Fortunately, you are wearing warm clothes and snow gear, so freezing isn't an immediate problem. But without transportation, you're in for a long walk ahead of you.
There are others around as well. Other people, just as lost and confused as you are. Everyone seems to be lacking any memory that might explain why everyone is here. As far as anyone knows, all of you were just ripped out of your previous lives and dumped here on this snowy road, wearing snow gear and having any items that are important to you already on hand. And for some of you, you even have a new power, one that you somehow instantly know how to use...
Two ways to go: forward and back. Despite having no indication of which way is the 'right' way, you feel drawn towards one direction in particular. Going 'back' is possible, but you get the feeling that you will be even more lost if you try. And given that you have no food or water on you, it's best to keep moving forward.
So, are you ready to walk? Because you have a long road ahead of you.
((Welcome to The Resort! Your characters will have any objects or animals with them that they should have given their canon point, but are dressed in cold weather clothing.
This prompt is just the first part of the intro log. New top-levels will go up over the course of the weekend as everyone progresses from 'where the hell am I?' to the resort proper, and to getting settled in. For now, just start with this prompt. We'll link further updates here for easy access.))

He can be found poking at the trees to see if they're real (they sure are, nice), getting a pile of snow dumped on his head from one of the branches for his troubles (he takes it with a flat face and a shudder, and looks absolutely ridiculous), or meandering over to say hello.
With a pile of snow still on his head.
Don't worry, though, he's ignoring it as he lifts a hand reluctantly out of his pocket and:]
...Hello. You're real, right...?
no subject
She's smiling like she thinks it's pretty funny. ]
Hey, hey. Cinque thinks so. What about you? Are you sure you're real?
no subject
[He's honestly not sure.]
It's too cold to be a dream, right?
no subject
[ She'll reach over with both of hands to pinch each side of his face. ]
You feel real and very cold. Maybe you shoudn't wear snow as a hat.

[ Roxas isn't looking Minato directly in the eyes though, giving a snort as he noticed the pile of snow on his head. ]
no subject
... No reason. It's just kind of a weird situation, so...
[AHEM.]
I'm glad you're real.
[He tilts his head. Some of the half-melted snow slides off.]
no subject
[ This is a serious situation...probably but really part of him is glad to have his own body again. But the other part is kind of obscenely wary because as far as he can tell, Sora, his friend, and none of his friends are around.
That being said... ]
By the way, you missed a spot.
[ He totally assumes Minato tilted his head to get all of the snow off. ]

And then he shakes his head, mostly because it's cold and he doesn't want to take his hands out of his pockets.]
I'll take your word for it. Thanks, though--that helps.
[...]
And for not leaving me in suspense for too long.

[ She shrugs her shoulders. ] And you're welcome. I wasn't going to, anyway. Just isn't in my character.

But she nods at the question.]
Yes, though you... may want to get rid of the snow on your head. It'd be a bad start of things if you caught a cold.
no subject
Minato slowly lifts his hands from his pockets, and dusts the snow from his hair.
A pause, and:]
Thank you. I didn't notice.
[How.]
no subject
It's no problem.
Though, I do have a question. Why would you think the rest of us could be fake...?

[Well at least Iwai can't say it's an unoriginal first meeting. Hello, kid. This man doesn't seem to mind his presence, letting him stick around because, despite the response he just had, Iwai is actually slightly amused]
Yes.
no subject
I don't think I'd be able to dream up someone like you, it's true...
That's a relief.
no subject
There have to be better dreams than a bunch of people with snow up to their calves, in the middle of nowhere.
[It's not that high, Iwai, geez]

What snow.]

Minato tilts his head (some snow slides off with a wet-sounding plop, warmed by Minato's head), and answers:]
That's...Descartes, right?
no subject
[A beat. Said a bit sheepishly:]
They used it in Blade Runner.
