Intro log: Welcome to The Resort!

Before you even open your eyes, you can tell something is not right. It's cold. Not quite unbearably so, but cold enough that you can take notice of it. And as soon as you open your eyes, you will be able to see why it's so cold: you're in the middle of a snowy forest, with only a single two-lane road cutting through the thick trees.
Unfortunately, you seem to be without transportation. Fortunately, you are wearing warm clothes and snow gear, so freezing isn't an immediate problem. But without transportation, you're in for a long walk ahead of you.
There are others around as well. Other people, just as lost and confused as you are. Everyone seems to be lacking any memory that might explain why everyone is here. As far as anyone knows, all of you were just ripped out of your previous lives and dumped here on this snowy road, wearing snow gear and having any items that are important to you already on hand. And for some of you, you even have a new power, one that you somehow instantly know how to use...
Two ways to go: forward and back. Despite having no indication of which way is the 'right' way, you feel drawn towards one direction in particular. Going 'back' is possible, but you get the feeling that you will be even more lost if you try. And given that you have no food or water on you, it's best to keep moving forward.
So, are you ready to walk? Because you have a long road ahead of you.
((Welcome to The Resort! Your characters will have any objects or animals with them that they should have given their canon point, but are dressed in cold weather clothing.
This prompt is just the first part of the intro log. New top-levels will go up over the course of the weekend as everyone progresses from 'where the hell am I?' to the resort proper, and to getting settled in. For now, just start with this prompt. We'll link further updates here for easy access.))

Really?
[He doesn't sound like he believes that. Teenagers aren't know for taking great decisions, even in dangerous situations]
Why, you been in trouble like this before?
no subject
... Nothing like this, that's for sure. [He's just looking around the freezing weather and woods with a faintly bemused expression.]
But... I'm used to taking care of myself in strange situations. Honest.
[A pause...and he adds:]
Thank you, though. It seems like you'll have your hands full trying to look out for everyone with some of the people here.

[But they're all in the same situation, they were all kidnapped and brought to the middle of nowhere. That's enough reason to at least be willing to not let people go get in more danger that they already are in already.
And also because there are way too many kids in here and that's simply not a good sign. Iwai is a decent guy, of course he'd be concerned about why there are all these teenagers here]
no subject
Minato just keeps a straight face, though, nodding solemnly.]
I see. That's fair, of course. It's not really your responsibility.
no subject
Too bad there aren't enough adults with a good head on their shoulders.
[Which is why he can already see himself trying to wrangle this bunch alongside the two or three he met that seem to be reliable]
no subject
It does seem like there are a lot of teens here...
[As if he's not also a dumb kid.]
I wonder why... it's a little worrisome.
no subject
[Understatement, Minato. It's plenty worrisome. Iwai sticks close to the codes of honor he knows, and harming kids sure is something they tend to avoid. For a lot of teenagers to be here...]
Seems like the ruthless type's behind all this.
[...then those who kidnapped them all are extremely dangerous, most likely]
no subject
...When you put it like that, it feels pretty ominous...
[A sigh.]
I guess either way, we'll have to make the best of what comes, whatever it might be.
