WEEK 3 MINGLE

Week three opens like the other two weeks, but when you wake up, you know there's been a change in the area. At first, nothing is wrong - but when you look at any window, you aren't greeted with the cheery sight of the outside - instead, there's just a cold, harsh blackness. Trying to leave out the doors is impossible, too - if you try, you just find yourself back on the couches in the lobby. On top of that....The Staff are beginning to act even stranger, their glitching out becoming more obvious. Sometimes, they seemingly go blank mid sentence and walk away, as if they were reset, and slur or stutter their words.
The weather is...well, non-existent, except for the courtyard, which is still pleasantly snowy. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.
On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. Yet, it doesn't seem like you're any closer to solving this...
And time still ticks onwards, regardless if you're ready or not.
MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

WEDNESDAY

... More or less.
Anyway, there's definitely an invisible man at the restaurant, unscrewing and inspecting pieces of an odd device- a few may remember him calling it his Medigun. There are four empty plates on the table beside him, stacked on top of each other, as well as one full plate that he's actively eating from whenever he bothers to put the screwdriver down.
He has been working for ten straight hours.
If the living focus, they can hear faint muttering and cursing. At some point a little after noon, there's a brief, elated shout when the Medigun sparks to life, a hazy smoke of red energy trailing from the barrel. It quickly turns to disappointed groaning when, yet again, the device refuses to budge from the lowest settings.
Later still, there's a man-shaped figure covered with pigeons at the animal cafe. He needs to de-stress a bit.
... Wait, not all of those are pigeons. How the hell did he get a bunch of birds of prey to flock to him, let alone sit calmly with his pigeons?
(
the wildlife rehabber in me dislikes animal cafes that use wildlife but i cant pass this up)]Animal cafe
Sees the swarm of birds

Predictably, it's easy to find her in the greenhouse in the morning, watering the flowers, or reading up on some of the less familiar plants with a book brought over from the library. On this day, she's got her hands dirty planting some seeds in one of the empty spaces.
Later in the day, she'll be in the music room, playing a song on the piano as Chu-Chu sits on top and sways his head left and right as he dutifully performs the job of a metronome. ]
music room, naturally
Finding Anthy already there is a pleasant surprise. Kohaku stays in the doorway and listens quietly, not wanting to interrupt. The melody is not super sophisticated, but it's also not unpleasant. 100% better than any of the music the resort ever plays from the speakers.
When Anthy is finished, he comes in properly. ]
It was about time they gave us something like this place, man.

[ Smiles!! She still needs to show you her rubber chicken abomination. ]
I'm glad too. There are a lot of nice things on this floor.
[ Like this and the plants and animals! Not so much the rest of the stuff! ]
Do you think we could try to play something together?

After that, she can be found in the arcade, playing a variety of games. She immediately zooms for some of the newer titles that don't exist in 2010 - some of the fighting games (which she'll challenge people to, FIGHT HER 1v1) but more importantly?? Inaba is at some of the claw machines.
And she keeps. Getting prizes. She has so many stuffed animals. She is burying herself in them. To the point where she just glances at the nearest person and asks, a little nervous, a little tense: ]
Do you want one...?
arcade;
...Uh, sure.
[ He recognizes those stuffed animals from some of the claw machines, yep. ]

The first place he finds himself pausing in is the music room. It's inside there, he takes a moment to misuse the instruments - yes, all of them, every single one. It'll be obvious to anyone coming into the room, within seconds of stepping inside of it, that he either has no experience or no fucks to give when it comes to these things.
Spoiler: it's both.
Also, at some point, he discovered the Otamatones. The poor Otamatones did nothing to deserve the sounds he's making come out of them.
Vanitas will be found in each of the remaining places at one point, but the other place he pauses the longest is the animal cafe, where he can be found... trying to figure out how to Cat. A few of them seem interested in him, while he seems confused by them. The arcade ties with the cafe in length of time he spends there, but he's mostly just trying to figure out how video games work - he's... not very good at them, and that is apparently annoying him. ]
This thing is clearly broken.
[ Finally, on the the Child Day Care has him... pausing by it to stare. He'll be gesturing at it with his thumb, looking at anyone who happens to be passing by. ]
Why...?
child day care
Hey hey! What are you looking at?
[ That's warning he'll get before she's there with her arm already sliding to link up with his arm. She does notice the leashes. ]
Do you think after all the fighting you've done and the trouble Sataling has found they decided we needed this?

Hey, you little bastards, how's it going? Do we taste good? Must be nice being a guest of honor around here.
[ Despite the derogatory language, Kohaku's voice is friendly in the usual chatty way one may adopt when talking to animals. He looks like he's in an unusually good mood this week.
Later, he can be found in the music room - he's testing out various instruments (though not playing any full songs, just hitting some notes for pitch). Modern things like electric guitars seem to confuse him for a bit, but he doesn't have too much trouble figuring them out.
Once he finds the Otamatones in the closet though, he just slams the door shut again. ]
