WEEK 3

Week three opens like the other two weeks, but when you wake up, you know there's been a change in the area. At first, nothing is wrong - but when you look at any window, you aren't greeted with the cheery sight of the outside - instead, there's just a cold, harsh blackness. Trying to leave out the doors is impossible, too - if you try, you just find yourself back on the couches in the lobby. On top of that....The Staff are beginning to act even stranger, their glitching out becoming more obvious. Sometimes, they seemingly go blank mid sentence and walk away, as if they were reset, and slur or stutter their words.

The weather is...well, non-existent, except for the courtyard, which is still pleasantly snowy. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. Yet, it doesn't seem like you're any closer to solving this...

And time still ticks onwards, regardless if you're ready or not.

[ Roxas looks over what's in front of him...hmmm...he'll reach for one that's a bunny. ]

That you're winning so much? Maybe it just means you're a natural?

[ He wonders if that means Inaba would be a good opponent for an arcade game, hmm... ]

[dereban]

Yeah. I mean, I don't have any superpower or anything, so. . . maybe I am? I think I'm probably better at other games, though.

[13thpromise]

[ That settles it! ]

...Do you want to go and play a game with me? As in maybe have some real competition?

[dereban]

[ Inaba's eyes immediately light up at that. ]

Sure. What game did you want to play?

[13thpromise]

[ Excellent, he's looking ready to Go as well. Roxas will start to hunt down a game for them to play, though. ]

What about...maybe something like this?

[ He'll point over to one arcade game - it's a space-themed one where they're in control of an aircraft and need to navigate through enemies in space throughout the galaxy and such... ]

[dereban]

Oh--

[ She eyes it with her interest piqued, looking rather pleased and excited about it all. ]

Yeah, that works. You know how to play already?

I do, and there's an option for two people to play [ Two separate aircraft!! ], so...first one to beat the current high score wins?

[dereban]

[ A challenge, huh? That's enough to make Inaba smirk. ]

Bring it.

[13thpromise]

[ Thanks to spending a longer time in here, Roxas has more of a handle on these games now thanks to yesterday's fun times. ]

Definitely. Don't be surprised if I win, okay?

[ Wow that was totally cheeky, but apparently when he's playing against someone he gets like this. But let's do this, game's starting up! ]

[dereban]

Bold of you to assume that I haven't been playing these games for a long time.

[ Nevertheless, Inaba seems to be rather. . . pleased when the game starts up, playing what seems to be rather casually, if only for the fact that it's the early stages. But she seems to be well practiced here. ]

[13thpromise]

Then it looks like I'm going to maybe beat a veteran? Watch out!

[ Roxas' style of playing is absolutely the opposite of casual now that he's gotten a grip on things. He's a quick learner, but also...he's mashing buttons (kind of randomly to shoot things down) like it's nobody's business. Yeah. ]

[dereban]

If you can.

[ She's definitely not randomly pressing buttons, though; she's being pretty precise and careful in spite of her casualness. ]

[13thpromise]

[ This is probably going to be a hilarious result because while he's doing good at shooting down enemies, his defensive maneuvers need some work. ]

Oh yeah? You don't think I can?

[dereban]

You'll have to get on Nanase's level if you want to beat me.

[ Inaba's decent at both defense and offense, so she's actually not getting hit by any of the enemies. Having a calculating mind helps. ]

You're as good as Yoshi?

[ That's hard to top, but if anything that makes him even more determined as well as focused, and then he's suddenly performing incredible evasive maneuvers combined with risky ones, trashing to hell everything in his screen. Racking up a lot of those points for a good while.

Then he accidentally crashes his craft and winces. ]

...whoops.

[dereban]

No, he's definitely better than I am. He beat me at Tetris, but he's also probably the closest thing to a computer out of all of us.

[ Her eyes are pretty transfixed on the screen as her hands move with pretty precise timing. ]

Better keep your lives up, otherwise I might just pass you by level.

[13thpromise]

That makes sense...he really knows a lot about technology and stuff, after all.

[ Roxas then starts again, this time going all out once more, but his attention more focused on the screen. Risky maneuvers but this time without much crashing and there's undoubtedly a ton of explosions happening. ]

...And there's no way I'm going to let that happen!

[dereban]

Yeah. But he's not the only one who know stuff about technology!

[ Inaba's going a little more ham now, revving up the speed but using valiant techniques to aim towards the enemies as she makes sure to not take any damage while also keeping an eye out for any items, too. ]

[13thpromise]

...that is true! Doesn't mean I'm going to let you win that easy or at all!

[ Yeeeeah he's doing exponentially well, but forgot items are a thing in his quest to be the ultimate defense and offense here. At least he hasn't rammed himself into another meteor, though. That's definitely a massive improvement. ]

[dereban]

I wouldn't want you to make it easy for me.

[ Her lips quirk into a rather mischievous grin, looking rather pleased with herself. ]

[13thpromise]

[ At that, his face now has a big smile on it. ]

You too... don't go easy on me just because I'm new to this, okay?

[dereban]

I wouldn't dream of it! [ ABSOLUTELY GOING ALL OUT HERE ]
