RECORDING 6: THE SECOND TRIAL.

The worst has happened... and now you're all here, in the living room where you first met Todd. As all of you enter, the Vessel is there - Olympia, staring balefully at you in all of her robotic glory.
On one of the tables away from the center is a small enclosed box entitled 'VOTES', with slips of paper nearby and a pen. It's sufficiently away from what will be the 'main' action, but not enough to really give anyone complete privacy as they vote.
Once everyone is inside, the doors automatically shut and lock themselves, leaving you trapped in here with the Vessel...and each other.
One of you is a murderer...however, in this game, the guilty do not need to be voted out. As long as there are enough people voted out that matches the victims...then it will be accepted.
...But, can you really let someone get away with murder...?
The choice...is up to you.
PEOPLE TO VOTE OUT: 1
WEEK 2 VOTING

RULES + CLARIFYING + QUESTIONS
All of you were present last week, and as such you should remember the procedure. However, as I have little faith in your collective memories, I shall review.
- Everyone living gets one vote. Whoever receives the most votes will be executed.
- The number of people executed will equal the number of victims. If two people were murdered, the two people with the most votes would be executed.
- Any deaths that occur during trials do not count as executions. Someone must still be voted out and executed.
- You cannot vote for the dead, even if they were the guilty party.
- The person who will be executed does not necessarily have to have been the killer. You may vote for the death of any among your number. However, you must make an attempt to determine the identity of the killer.
- Voting is mandatory. Anyone who does not vote will die.
And because some of you seem to be oddly in a hurry to vote for more executions:
- The deaths of any people who are killed by myself or any future Vessel, such as "Agent T," are outside the scope of your responsibilities.
Vote using the marked station. [She motions to the voting booth.] You have six hours.
If you have any further questions, ask them.

Greenhouse - Area Around Body + External Examination of Body
Anyways, he'll pull out some pictures of the relevant exhibits and a plastic bag with the half-eaten fruit (which... probably looks pretty disgusting right now considering it's been a day but yolo) and present them on a table.]
We investigated the greenhouse. I'll let Gin cover the details of the surrounding area while I take care of what I found around the body.
Jack was shallowly buried underneath a poisonous berry bush at the far end of the greenhouse, with his arm sticking out from under the leaves. The arm looked partially skeletonized, although there were signs that he clawed at the dirt, indicating that he was probably still alive at the time of the burial.
From what I could tell, the plant grew from his stomach and basically had its roots entangled all around the inside of his body, which is what led to the skeletal appearance, although it hadn't seemed to have reached his chest and legs yet. You can probably ask Dr. Romani for details of the internal examination.
Anyway, after we took care of the plant and uncovered the body, I found that there was blistering on his fingers and similar blistering around the mouth, underneath all of the blood. I also found this [gesture at the fruit in the baggie by his head--it had a large bite taken out of it along with some traces of blood, so he probably ate this before he died. Besides that, there were no additional wounds or signs indicating that any kind of struggle took place.
From how stiff he was and his body temperature, I'd estimate that his time of death was around 1-3 AM on Friday morning. There were also some small scuffs in the dirt that led away from the body, but there wasn't anything else to provide a clear trail.
[He crosses his arms.]
I think we should establish what everyone's alibis were for Friday morning when Jack was killed.

They're dirt footprints. To be more specific, a small footprint, with a small stride, coming from the greenhouse and leading towards the bathroom.

Internal examination of the body
I... performed an autopsy on the body of Jack Morrison. Important things to note is that, similar to Date’s results, I found that his throat and esophagus had similar blistering from the poison. Aside from that, the... source of the bush all originated from, what I think is a machineel seed that was in his stomach.
[ he will set a ziplock bag down with said seed, labled “DO NOT TOUCH” ]
The poison of the apple was fast-acting, and from the seed came the roots which...grew equally as fast. They were in his lungs and heart and, from the clotting that formed in the organs, I can safely determine that he was alive as the bush grew from inside him. By the time we found him, he was almost entirely bloodless, which leads me to believe that this was the source of the bush’s rapid growth.

Greenhouse - Everywhere Else
There was one set of dirt footprints leading out of the greenhouse, for starters, but two sets inside the greenhouse. The big ones were, of course, Jack's. Looks like they were moving planters around before they started breaking from plants growing. None of the shards had blood on them, but considering the body that makes sense.
[His smile gets tense for a moment, not especially enjoying what he's going to say next.]
The bush was rather irritating, so unless you want to end up like we were, don't touch the bucket.
[Near his foot there was indeed a bucket of broken plant bits, just enough for a sample. He had collected a couple broken branch ends (carefully!!) while they were still frozen, which isn't the case anymore. The outside is fine to handle, but there's a cloth next to the bucket anyway, since Gin wasn't taking any chances.]

All right... the methodological approach worked last time. How did the body look? What did everyone find near it? Motive...?
Also, if anyone wants to just save us time and claim responsibility... raise your hand.

cat herd + questioning tl
[ roman is doing his best to call everyone's attention! let's reconvene, people! ]
So as far as we know, we've narrowed down the list of suspects considerably. By comparing the footprints, we realized that they could have probably matched Rin, Yachi, Marona, Yuri, Flayn, Rosa, Nanaka, and Haku. However, thanks to King Gilgamesh's intervention, we realized that the magical signature on the paper and on the seed don't match the signature that he and Rin have. Just as well, we have been able to rule out Yachi and Rosa, simply because they don't have any magical abilities.
I would also like to add that I don't believe Haku could have done it either because his element does not match with the one found on the seed, which is Earth.
We also know that the summoning circle was created with the purpose of calling on or summoning something, though we're still unsure as to what it was.
In other words, that leaves us with four suspects -- Yuri, Flayn, Nanaka, and Marona. That way we can focus on this instead of going on other tangents.

[Ango seems hesitant to bring this up, but.]
I can touch something related to the trial- the seed, the paper, or something else- and see what happened. I can't guarantee answers, because it's up in the air what I will actually see. But I might be able to get something useful from it.

accusation
Although there's the possibility that someone may have framed Yuri using the paper, Marona and Nanaka have said that Yuri either didn't discuss her abilities with them or didn't demonstrate them, making it unlikely that they could have replicated something that would point directly to her.
Now, this evidence is all circumstantial, but it presents a possibility we can't ignore.

EXECUTION: FLOWERS FOR THE DEPARTED (CW: Chestbursting)
It comes as no surprise as everyone is forced back by Olympia's myriad of weaponry, as Yuri is casually dragged into the center of the room. There's a quiet moment as Olympia - the Vessel - stares at all of them, before speaking.]
You have voted for the execution of Yuri Egin.
[Letting Yuri go, Olympia steps back, her eyes glinting balefully in the light.]
Execution in progress.
[Suddenly, a little creature, barely an inch tall, appears on Olympia's shoulder. Gil, at the very least, will recognize it as giving off the same magic he'd sensed off of the torn paper and the manchineel seed.
As it jumps down and makes it's way towards Yuri, it becomes clear it's been twisted by the miasma around. It's head is framed by a dark purple flower, and the rest of it's body is the pale yellows of a carnivorous plant instead of the healthier looking greens it should be, and the smile on it's face is permanently set in a vicious, toothy grin.
Yuri smiles sadly upon seeing it, reaching out a bandaged arm and outstretched hand for it to jump up to. It does so without hesitation, quickly producing a seed and holding it up in front of her - which she takes, swallowing it down without a single moment of hesitation and giving it a single last pat on the head.
Then, it hops down to stand in front of her, looking up - leaving only a few scant moments before Yuri suddenly doubles over, her hands reaching towards her throat as she coughs.
Flower petals - purple ones - begin to flutter past her lips with each cough. Each hack only causes more petals to come forth, and soon she can't stop coughing, retching and gasping for air with every second that passes.
Blood begins to stain those petals, as Yuri begins to suffocate - but her eyes suddenly widen as she convulses in pain, her hands going from her throat to her chest.
She can't even scream as her ribcage visibly moves, bulging out from the inside once, twice, three times...
Before it suddenly breaks open with flowers and stems, petals moving as Yuri collapses to the ground on her back, making a few last movements before finally going still - mercifully so, as the flowers quickly take root in her body, covering her entirely until all that can be seen is a horrifically beautiful bouquet of purple flowers.
The little greenman happily hops back on Olympia's shoulder, as she quietly intones-]
Execution Complete.
[Yuri Egin is dead.
Shortly after, the doors swing open, and Olympia and the Greenman vanish from sight in a burst of Miasma.]
