The worst has happened... and now you're all here, in the living room where you first met Todd. As all of you enter, the Vessel is there - Olympia, staring balefully at you in all of her robotic glory.

On one of the tables away from the center is a small enclosed box entitled 'VOTES', with slips of paper nearby and a pen. It's sufficiently away from what will be the 'main' action, but not enough to really give anyone complete privacy as they vote.

Once everyone is inside, the doors automatically shut and lock themselves, leaving you trapped in here with the Vessel...and each other.

One of you is a murderer...however, in this game, the guilty do not need to be voted out. As long as there are enough people voted out that matches the victims...then it will be accepted.

...But, can you really let someone get away with murder...?

The choice...is up to you.

Because she's a grudge-holding, spiteful woman.

We already know what happened there. Yuri-san used what she knows to be holy water. The holy water is secretly crafted by the Vatican in her world. It turns out that the holy water had demonic properties Yuri-san was not aware of.

This isn't evidence. This is pointless and petty.

Hey, even if that's true, there might be something to this.

If Yuri did risk a summon to help us with our food supply, who's to say something didn't go wrong? Something like last time, when the miasma used magic from Yuri's world as fuel and warped its effects.

With food running short and all of us at a loss for what to do about it, I dunno. It's easy to believe someone here had good-intentions to fix the problem that went horribly wrong.

And I will equally point out how this is just petty and vindictive behavior from Rosa-san because in the first trial, she made it very clear that she has no tolerance for kind people.

Not only that, but she is also the one who was arguing that the person who did it was being spiteful themselves and trying to kill the rest of us with poor intentions. Anyone who know Yuri-san would know that is not the kind of person Yuri-san is.

Rosa-san is going against her own leanings by insisting that this was a mistake a good-hearted person would make. In other words: this isn't for the investigation, this is for herself.

It doesn't matter what kind of person she is if it was an accident, does it?

I'm not saying she did it on purpose. I'm saying the miasma took control of her summon, stepped all over her good intentions, and everything she tried to grow turned into poison.

My argument isn't that the evidence doesn't point that way, it's that Rosa-san's intentions behind the questioning that I'm having issues with.

If you framed it as "you did the holy water thing, therefore it is plausible in this case..." et cetera, but from the start, she made it clear she was asking these questions from a personal grievance, not because of the evidence.

Evidence submitted with that kind of bias needs to be taken with great care.

Each and every person here is biased in some way, there's nothing we can do about that. It'd be great if everyone could detach themselves from the situation, think rationally, and forget how they feel about each other. [ He wants to sigh here but, he won't. Like, even Dazai is pretty heavily biased in what he's saying and that fact doesn't escape him. ]

But they can't—or maybe sometimes it's more like they won't. It might even be that they shouldn't, given lives are on the line. My point is, even if the reason she's asking is influenced by bias, there's still merit in reminding us the magic from Yuri's world doesn't react to the miasma in ways she expects.

Yuri-san claims that after she used the holy water, she wouldn't have made the same mistake. Mo-kun even substantiated this by pointing out that even when he begged, she wouldn't use her demons to grow peppers.

So tell me how this argument helps with anything except to put us back in a circle?

We're in a room full of almost thirty people. Who knows how many conversations are happening right now, and who knows how many of those thirty people catch what's being said. Sometimes, points get lost and need repeating.

Just like sometimes evidence needs to be re-examined. Statements, too. Sometimes you can learn something new by asking the same questions in a different way.
