RECORDING 6: THE SECOND TRIAL.

The worst has happened... and now you're all here, in the living room where you first met Todd. As all of you enter, the Vessel is there - Olympia, staring balefully at you in all of her robotic glory.
On one of the tables away from the center is a small enclosed box entitled 'VOTES', with slips of paper nearby and a pen. It's sufficiently away from what will be the 'main' action, but not enough to really give anyone complete privacy as they vote.
Once everyone is inside, the doors automatically shut and lock themselves, leaving you trapped in here with the Vessel...and each other.
One of you is a murderer...however, in this game, the guilty do not need to be voted out. As long as there are enough people voted out that matches the victims...then it will be accepted.
...But, can you really let someone get away with murder...?
The choice...is up to you.
PEOPLE TO VOTE OUT: 1
WEEK 2 VOTING

[Academic curiosity, but real curiosity, too. He'll even crouch down!
Have you become one-eyed like Date.]

I'm not sure. But there's an easy to find out. [ Gonna just grab Subete's arm, his right eye still very much red, whole, and functional in memory reading. ]

[His eyes widen -- he had his shield up but his guard down, so Hikage is at least partially inside it, which means that with the scant distance he doesn't quite react in time.
Hope Hikage is ready for some extra headache, because he gets this blasted all the way across his consciousness, distorted somehow, sewn through with lines of static as though the memory itself is somehow unstable or fractured.]

And what a way down it is. Whether he's used to reading memories or not, he's decidedly not used to them having bursts of static like this, and he's sure as hell not used to being thrown in the middle of a memory dive. His last reads were a little more willing, or at the least more polite. So for the second time in a matter of hours he yells, though this is more out of shock as he gets tossed several feet away. His head and mind are really going to be a mess today. ]

You were cute when you were young. The girl too... [ He trails off, sitting up despite everything that's happened in such a short burst of time, hand running through his bangs with a lopsided smile. Maybe he's really been knocked silly at this point. ]

Anyway. More importantly:]
That's none of your business!! Maia isn't--
[Ah. That's probably the first time he's raised his voice since he came here. He doesn't even know what exactly the guy saw but that, too, is his kneejerk reaction. Oops.]

For once, it's almost visible when he tucks things away again, somewhere behind coldness and the hand he's now literally raised to the left side of his face dramatically like some kind of chuuni or something.
It's only a moment, but his tone is remarkably even when he speaks back up.]
I don't know what you saw, or what you think you saw, but it doesn't matter right now. I'm not interested in dealing with this here.
[His eyes narrow, though.]
Don't think you're off the hook, though.

Well, I think so. [ Again with the repetition and the same casual proclamation despite the situation. His smile hasn't budged, but it has relaxed into something smooth, almost carefree. ]

I'd hope not, this trial has gone on too long already. [ Is he inferring that he could totally see Subete having a real go at him? Maybe, because he can't even be properly annoyed about being tossed considering. ]

There goes the drama!! He even puts his hand down with a huff. His glare isn't any less murderous, but.]
I'd throw another robot at your head if I thought it'd be worth it.
[What kind of threat is that. Apparently one he's going to stick with.......]
no subject
...where are you going to get another one? [ important questions to ask as they're back to the usual, even with the murderous glare. ]
no subject
... I'm resourceful. There's plenty of material here. I'd find a way.
[Nominally back to the usual it is, even if there remains a slight edge to his voice, a darkness in his stare.]
So you'd better keep your hands and everything else to yourself.
no subject
Yeah you are, aren't you? [ Rhetorical and confident. ]
I'm not that type, you know. At least until something catches my eye, then it's a little difficult to behave.
no subject
If you know that much, then you know I'm serious.
[About the robot? Maybe? Or maybe everything else? There is so much going on here.]
You keep your eyes to yourself, too. [that's more of a rhetorical grumble] I thought you were at least the type who could learn a lesson or two.
no subject
It's a little too late for that, but you're not wrong. You're not exactly right either, though. [ This is a continuation of their song and dance, but with an added note, a bright chord of veracity unlike any others before. ]
no subject
He gathers himself a little behind his unwavering barrier; it's still too bright and covered in too many kanji, but it doesn't at all impede his ability to hear.]
Still the type to bull through when it suits you. I see. [an exhale, which is pretty much a sigh] Try not to get incinerated by another ghost before I'm through with you.
no subject
Don't worry, I'll save myself for you.
no subject
It's a near thing, but he doesn't. Sometimes turning something off and on again needs to wait.
There is an actual sigh as he finally removes himself, gusty.]
