WEEK 1 EXECUTION

Just like before, you all get up in the morning...but you know that after today, there will be less of you.
The Lady appears again, leading you all up the stairs to the third floor, past whatever glimpses of the upper floors you might get. This time, it's to a chapel - where a screen near the altar is already playing a video, the sound of the most beautiful instrument in the world washing over you all as you take a seat in the pews.
The Lady puts down some tarp near the altar, as if expecting this to get messy. When she's finished, she sets her gaze on all of you, her beautiful somehow awful during this moment before someone dies.
"Good morning. Shall we begin this execution?"

[Phil doesn't seem like the kind of person that'd ever kill someone. Iwai can only imagine how stressed he is now, being forced to be an executioner]

When he sits down, it's a bit gingerly, like maybe someone who's got some serious bruises and strains. Hm.]

Unlike Anthy, though, his eyes are fixed straight ahead on the execution. It doesn't seem right if he doesn't at least watch, even if he hates that they're all here at all.

There are quite a few bruises visible along his knuckles and on his eye. His clothes make it kind of difficult to see anything else.
Hmmmm...
Anyway, he looks kind of. Calm. Genuinely calm... ]

After The Death
Does the body get burned? I should've asked this Friday already, but there was such a commotion I kinda got sidetracked.

He also will end up watching the whole execution, beginning to end. No looking away. He owes Medic that much at least.
His hands are shaking slightly by the end of it, though.]

POST-DEATH
Mm. Still pretty blank. He's not sure how to feel about this. About the death of Szayel, or the Medic, or even seeing the results of the latter for himself.
Once again, he casts a look around, quietly seeing how the others are reacting. Because for him, there's just a whole
lot of
nothing.]

MEDIIIIIIIC!
[When that smell hits, that burning, the ever-stoic Snake just becomes vacant. He'd never forgotten that stench, but to feel it right there before him again...not picking immolation didn't make any difference, huh?
He'll move in a moment, he has to follow survival instinct, after all.]
post-execution
He watches Medic's death with a steely expression, calm despite what's happening. When the smell hits his nostrils, though, the calmness turns into something more strained. He's still not really showing any emotion, but he suddenly gets up from the pew and walks out without looking at anyone.]
post-execution
It's only when the smell hits her nose that she actually reacts, frowning quite a bit as she tenses up, her grip tightening, but she doesn't move to leave immediately.
She just.
Finds herself lowering her head, chewing on her nail -- a bad habit of hers -- as she finds herself practically frozen in her seat, just staring at the floor a little helplessly. ]
Post Execution
She isn't used to mourning. She isn't used to people remembering the dead and being so broken up over it. This is the weight the memory carries in the living, and she doesn't like it.
Cinque is quiet for a change, but she'll approach anyone who meets her look to grab on to their shirt or jacket and hold on. ]

Post-Execution!
Once it starts, her hands tighten convulsively on her arms and her expression hardens, but she doesn't otherwise react. It occurs to her that this first execution will probably be the least bloody.
It occurs to her that she's far enough back that the smells and sights hitting hard in the first rows are diluted a little, like she knew to keep the distance, even if she didn't.
She doesn't look up until the very last moment, and then she just lowers her head after and stays where she is, letting it all settle and cool.]
post-execution
He stays like that for a bit before he stands up to leave, one hand still clenched in a tight fist.]
post execution
when it starts, the only reaction he has is a slight cringe, as if bothered by the electrocution itself. however, as soon as the humming stops, he relaxes back into a blank expression.
flat closes his eyes, and sighs. ]
What a shame.
