WEEK 1 EXECUTION

Just like before, you all get up in the morning...but you know that after today, there will be less of you.
The Lady appears again, leading you all up the stairs to the third floor, past whatever glimpses of the upper floors you might get. This time, it's to a chapel - where a screen near the altar is already playing a video, the sound of the most beautiful instrument in the world washing over you all as you take a seat in the pews.
The Lady puts down some tarp near the altar, as if expecting this to get messy. When she's finished, she sets her gaze on all of you, her beautiful somehow awful during this moment before someone dies.
"Good morning. Shall we begin this execution?"

[His voice came out in a low, hoarse growl]

[His hand - covered in small cuts - curls into a fist until his knuckles turn white, then relaxed, only to repeat the motion, his eyes turning to the ground]
They made it clear they won't accept anyone not playing by their rules.
no subject
Clearly.
no subject
[Hnnnrrhh]
I'm not surprised they want to make a show of this too.
no subject
[She rubs her eyes, sighing deeply.]
You mind checking in on Phil after all of this?
no subject
You can say that again.
[He gives a brief nod.]
For whatever good it'll do. I'm no therapist.
[He...really has no idea what he'll do when he sees him, honestly.]
What about you?
no subject
[as much as she dislikes phil she's worried about him. she can express worry and also hate people!
Ripley, on the other hand, crosses her arms, not meeting Snake's eyes.]
I'll be fine. I've handled worse.
no subject
[He's not letting that happen to anyone else he cares about, as unlikely as it seems in this place.
With Ripley's answer, he doesn't doubt it. "Fine" isn't accurate for people like them, but it's the best descriptor they've got.]
I'll trust you to take care of yourself, and not do anything stupid.
[She's probably the only person in this place he can, really.]
no subject
Of course not. It wouldn't be helpful to the situation at hand, anyways.
[Her voice is flat and quiet.]
no subject
Just have to survive, right?
[They just had to get through this, whatever it meant getting through.]
no subject
[She sounds...bitter. Save as much people as you can with as little collateral damage.
...Yeah. Like that worked out last time. But she has to try, doesn't she?]
no subject
They probably get a lot of enjoyment out of making us watch too.
[ It wasn't fair. None of it was fair. ]
no subject
There's little we can do about it right now. We just have to redouble our efforts for next week.
no subject
Yeah...we'll show them. I'm tired of this panning out how they've wanted it too.
[ He's sure they all feel the same. ]
no subject
[And of course she'd know. She shakes her head; she's about as far from the action as physically possible, but it's still the same room, of course.]
I'd really like to know who's watching.
no subject
[Ripley's hands form fists as she closes her eyes, taking a deep breath.]
What kind of goddamn game is this?! This is a slaughter, that's what it is.
no subject
[Even Revolver put himself on the line to make his own damn 'game' come to fruition.
These people aren't duelists, though, and don't have even that sliver of... what? Common courtesy? Pride? She never thought she'd have to miss dealing with the Tower of Hanoi or its Knights, but here they are.]
