EXECUTION

Just like before, you all get up in the morning...but you know that after today, there will be less of you.

The Lady appears again, leading you all up the stairs to the third floor, past whatever glimpses of the upper floors you might get. This time, it's to a chapel - where a screen near the altar is already playing a video, the sound of the most beautiful instrument in the world washing over you all as you take a seat in the pews.

The Lady puts down some tarp near the altar, as if expecting this to get messy. When she's finished, she sets her gaze on all of you, her beautiful somehow awful during this moment before someone dies.

"Good morning. Shall we begin this execution?"

[ He can't help wondering if he'd be even sadder after finding out who he attacked...

[ That has him so... damn confused, but there's a little less bristle than before. He just. Lifts a hand to his own face, sighing quietly. ]

I've done literally nothing to warrant you calling me that. Given your self-preservation being what it is, though...

[ He isn't surprised, somehow... ]

[He winces a little at that...can we not bring that up right now...]

... Sometimes, people just decide things like that. Sorry if it's troublesome, but... I don't have any intentions of changing my mind.

[ Unfortunately, Vanitas is... himself...

But, it would seem Minato has managed to, somehow, get Vanitas to not argue. He's staring at the guy for a moment before he simply rests a hand against his face. The laugh that slips out is not exactly stable, even if it is quiet. ]

Suit yourself, then. Just don't bother expecting me to say it back.

[Minato's honestly used to this, he is not at all offended.]

That's fine. I told you, right...? I'm not expecting anything from you that you're not willing to give.

It really is fine, okay? Just...be careful.

[ Minato, you're talking to a guy who's never been fine a day in his life. He's basically like the anti-fine to all your "fine". ]

[ While it's said in a tone that borders on mockery, there's something lurking beneath said mockery. Something he's working very hard to keep shoved down. There's a sigh, however, at the last sentence. He resists the urge to roll his eyes as he vaguely gestures with a hand. ]
