WEEK 2

With the nature of this 'game' out, the resort might not look so welcoming anymore. The staff are still ready to jump in and serve guests in any way they can, provided a request doesn't make them short-circuit, and the resort itself seems as warm and cheery as usual. But everyone knows the truth now. This resort is hiding some pretty big secrets, and it's only a matter of time before someone else turns up dead.

The weather is holding steady, at 'cold but still safe for outdoor activities'. The temperature seems to be dipping lower each day, though, and the previously-blue sky is starting to stay grey more often than not. Could that signal an approaching snowstorm? Who know. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. But it might not be enough to put everything together yet, that might take some more time.

Most importantly, everyone needs to get to know each other. This 'game' is one of 'know your enemies', and your very survival depends on knowing when someone is acting odd.

[Iwai doesn't spend much time in his room. It's not uncommon to find him in the restaurant, or walking around at the ski slopes.

What's unusual is to see him with a laser sword. He's outside at the slopes

Iwai examines the sword carefully, checking how it works, how it moves, and slowly sticks it into the snow, seeing how the snow melts around it. Bit by bit he moves the sword around. Even though it's an item he had seen before only one -- and very briefly -- he's handling it with something close enough to expertise. It's not a gun, but it's a dangerous weapon. He has seen plenty of those in his life.

Later, once he's done with that, he can be found at the luxury suite in the third floor, he's examining everything with contemplative expression]

You think that lady or the captain sleeps in here?

[ He basically lives outside. In the forest, in the courtyard, on the slopes. And yet he never does any skiing. ]

What is that?

A laser sword. Pretty dangerous, huh?

[He doens't even look up from his careful manipulation of the sword. He moves towards a tree, sizing it up]

Asked the staff for one and they didn't even hesitate to give it to me.

It cuts like nothing I've ever seen. This "laser" magic is astounding. [ Because laser = no idea = magic. It's all magic to him. ]

And I would expect nothing less from the staff. What good is a killing game without an arsenal?

[He can't help but poke around either, expression contemplative.]

... It's possible, but I don't think we'll be able to find them there that easily.

It'll be better we don't find 'em here. At least right now we have a chance to find anythin' they may have left behind.

You never know. When it's about breaking their game you can't stop just because of reasoning like that.

[He knows the odds there's anything to find here are very low, but he has to search anyway just in case]

[Snake tilts his head in admission of the fact that Iwai might have a point.]

It'd be too easy for us to kill them here, though I wouldn't put it past them to tease us with the opportunity.

[He takes a few steps around the room, giving it a careful look over.]

People can be pretty careless, though. There might still be something to find around here.

While the sword itself is something to be cautious of, he does note Iwai's apparent familiarity with the weapon. Either way, it's an interesting display, and he does watch in silence for a bit before speaking up.]

That's... definitely unlike any kind of sword I've seen before. Where'd you even get it?

The staff gave it to me when I asked. Dunno where they got somethin' like this, but it's very dangerous.

[For obvious reasons. Iwai raises the sword and observes the hilt carefully]

Nothin' to make the blade go away. I should give this back and get a shorter sword that can retract the blade or somethin'.

Yeah, that seems like a pretty big oversight when it comes to design. It looks like it's more likely to burn a hole in your room before it actually becomes useful in a fight.

[But huh, so the reason why he got that was...?]

[ GASP. owain is rushing towards iwai, much like an excited dog when he sees the laser sword. he's stopping a respectable distance away so that he's not accidentally swiped by the sword ]

[It's a good thing Iwai is rather focused on what he's doing, without even looking up. He has to be careful with this thing, after all]

I have not! I must say, the closest has been the Levin Blade.

Why'd you ask for one?

A tool like this one would be useful. One of these can cut through so many things.

[Maybe even through spiderwebs]

If they're gonna give stuff around then I won't miss the chance to claim a thing or two for myself.

I guess it's not a bad idea. If something weird pops up maybe you can get through it in a way we can't.

Who sleeps here, then? The rats?

[Iwai doesn't seem too bothered by the question, but he does think the captain or the lady sleeping here is the most likely possibility. He's convinced of it]

Umm... I don't know. Would they really allow us in here if either of them did?

[Don't let the people who blame you for facilitating a game where people die into your room. It's common sense.]

They would if there's something they gain from us bein' in here.
