WEEK 2

With the nature of this 'game' out, the resort might not look so welcoming anymore. The staff are still ready to jump in and serve guests in any way they can, provided a request doesn't make them short-circuit, and the resort itself seems as warm and cheery as usual. But everyone knows the truth now. This resort is hiding some pretty big secrets, and it's only a matter of time before someone else turns up dead.

The weather is holding steady, at 'cold but still safe for outdoor activities'. The temperature seems to be dipping lower each day, though, and the previously-blue sky is starting to stay grey more often than not. Could that signal an approaching snowstorm? Who know. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. But it might not be enough to put everything together yet, that might take some more time.

Most importantly, everyone needs to get to know each other. This 'game' is one of 'know your enemies', and your very survival depends on knowing when someone is acting odd.

A laser sword. Pretty dangerous, huh?

[He doens't even look up from his careful manipulation of the sword. He moves towards a tree, sizing it up]

Asked the staff for one and they didn't even hesitate to give it to me.

It cuts like nothing I've ever seen. This "laser" magic is astounding. [ Because laser = no idea = magic. It's all magic to him. ]

And I would expect nothing less from the staff. What good is a killing game without an arsenal?

True, but you'd think they'd stick to the normal stuff instead of to magic.

[Apparently Iwai has no qualms to play along with the thought this is some sort of magic, hah! Easier that than having to explain, he figures]

This stuff isn't supposed to exist anyway.

Magic? Some of it, perhaps. Such as this. [ Gesturing carefully to the sword. ] But tomes and staves are ordinary enough.

I dunno, I have never seen a magic staff before.

[You don't seem like the kind of guy who'd handle a magic staff! Or...are you? Are you a magic wyvern rider, Gerome? Inquiring minds OOC want to know!]

No? If you're curious, we could ask the staff for a... staff. [ ... ] Cynthia may be able to wield it.

[ He can be reclassed into a priest because of his mother, yup! His magic growth is godawful though. ]

...Cynthia? Really?

[Iwai doesn't sound convinced. Mayybe because Cynthia hasn't given any vibes of knowing how to use magic. You know something Iwai doesn't, eh?]

Why not ask her the next time you see her? She should be able to give you a clearer answer than I can.

[ He knows a lot of things about Cynthia Iwai doesn't! Comes with the friend territory. Which he isn't in. Or he is, don't ask him about his friendships ok. ]

She's too energetic to talk with. Any answer she gives won't be 'clearer'.
