It was noon on Friday.

No matter where they were, no matter what they were doing...the moment the chimes rang out through the hall, they felt a change.

The world...began to expand, as they felt themselves leaving the world they were on, and towards another, much larger world...🗈

This new world looked like...the inside of an ornate courtroom, like something that wouldn't be too far from some kind of grand fantasy novel.

The Witch, Lambdadelta was there, sitting in the most important place, smiling brightly at everyone. There was no music to be heard, but... perhaps on another plane, in another place, someone else heard music as they gazed upon the proceedings.

As they looked around, they might have also been surprised to see that their forms had changed - perhaps only slightly, or a much more dramatic change. It seemed like this place demanded a different form in some way, even if it was just a change of clothing.

...There was a deep silence in the room, one that no one wanted to break. It was the faint tension in the air, like the moments before a race or a competition begins.

Yesterday had been the start of the game. But now, armed with all they knew...now, they had to truly go up against the Witch, and somehow.....win.

I... imagine so. I did not see the scene so I cannot say how much of her story is true, but I shall listen to all who speak with an open mind.

[The colors warped, the world enveloped them all... And in an instant, Bruno felt lighter than he had gotten used to.

He had been one of those who had been drastically changed by this world. Bruno stared at his own paws, touching his own face in shock. He's still recognizable, in spite of the changes, for this new form must be what a "blue gelert" should look like. Back to his old self, for the first time in years... Until he noticed the claws.

He doesn't need to see what his eyes look like. He realizes this is part of the witch's illusion, and the curse was still there.

Bruno manages to shake himself out of his bewilderment as the fantasy begins to play.]

... Erm. [Even his voice sounds lighter than usual, befitting a young adult rather than a monster.] So, about the blood on the door... Couldn't Riku have written that message himself?

"Sol," was it? If he was indeed near the door, perhaps he could have. And I do find the Lady's suggestion strange.

His body was leaning against it before I tore it out yesterday morning.

[He clears his throat.] Sorry about that, by the way.

Eh, it happens. I tried leaning on the door like how Riku probably would have been- if he wrote it, it was probably before he fell- the angle was all wrong, I couldn't even reach the writing backwards like that and Riku and I aren't that far off in height.

I see... [ A firm shake of her head. ]

You need not apologize. You acted in haste in the hopes of saving his life, didn't you?

I found this under my pillow yesterday morning. My door was still locked and I didn't put it there. Inside three bullets were missing. It's not from the Master Bedroom: I checked- while I was doing that I noticed one of the stakes was slightly moved so I took it with me.

When I went to investigate the windows I learned they are pretty easy to open, even when locked and I broke into Riku's room. He was already dead. He had three wounds: one in his gut, one in his chest and one in his head. The one in his head was clearly a gunshot. And I was able to remove the bullet from his head. The other wounds wouldn't have been fatal right away, but the headshot definitely would have been.

The two other wounds look like weird stab wounds that match the stake somewhat but deep in the wounds I found the other two missing bullets. He also had a defensive wound in his hand that punched straight through.

The bullets make it fairly obvious that it wasn't the work of that girl...Asmodeus, don't they?

[Being pieced with a stake is one thing, finding the actual bullet is another.]

That's right. I'm guessing the stabs were to hide that he was shot. Tch, maybe his dumb fringe is why they missed the headshot!

Yes that makes sense, but why would they leave the.... Didn't you say the bullets were still inside.

You may be right. What I wonder is why there was a need to hide the shots in the first place. Perhaps the culprit thought the wounds were relevant somehow?

[ Hearing someone describe his injuries, she finds herself frowning and looking down. ]

That's two weapons that were found in seemingly unrelated rooms... May I ask if you invited anyone over to your room last night? Or perhaps were visited by someone.

Nope. Like I'd be that stupid the night before the 'murder'! Doesn't mean someone couldn't have snuck in at some point though.

If they were quiet enough it may not have been difficult, it's true. However, if only one room was tampered with, I may have thought the occupant was a heavy sleeper. For it to be two...

It seems to me the culprit was someone very confident.

When I went to check it out with Big Blue, it looks like the window was locked still when you went through. Hey, do you think the stab wounds could have been made with a knife?

Yeah, I had to jimmy it open- the easiest window I've ever broken into. The wounds fit the stake but they're so warped it could be something else too.

So, even locked, the windows don't really provide much protection... Man, I haven't even really paid attention to what's outside my window. Would you have to like... climb? Is there a balcony?

[There's a tall young woman, somewhere in her 20s, only vaguely recognizable physically -- but the hair (even longer now) and the distinctive helmet are dead giveaways. She's dressed in a rippling dark trenchcoat along with the boots and all the trappings, and it gives her a very different air. A little more severe, somehow.

She ignores Takashi's new permanent armcandy and speaks up once he's done with his spiel.]

Then there are multiple murder weapons, and we have to determine which is the proper one. Since the witch is so fixated on the stakes, I feel we should be the most suspicious of those.

Other than that, I feel we should start our speculations with you and the knife boy.

Yeah, it seems like they'd be the most suspicious— though I wonder if that's too obvious.
