MOCK WEEK - WEEK 1 TRIAL
It was noon on Friday.
No matter where they were, no matter what they were doing...the moment the chimes rang out through the hall, they felt a change.
The world...began to expand, as they felt themselves leaving the world they were on, and towards another, much larger world...🗈
No matter where they were, no matter what they were doing...the moment the chimes rang out through the hall, they felt a change.
The world...began to expand, as they felt themselves leaving the world they were on, and towards another, much larger world...🗈
This new world looked like...the inside of an ornate courtroom, like something that wouldn't be too far from some kind of grand fantasy novel.
The Witch, Lambdadelta was there, sitting in the most important place, smiling brightly at everyone. There was no music to be heard, but... perhaps on another plane, in another place, someone else heard music as they gazed upon the proceedings.
As they looked around, they might have also been surprised to see that their forms had changed - perhaps only slightly, or a much more dramatic change. It seemed like this place demanded a different form in some way, even if it was just a change of clothing.
...There was a deep silence in the room, one that no one wanted to break. It was the faint tension in the air, like the moments before a race or a competition begins.
Yesterday had been the start of the game. But now, armed with all they knew...now, they had to truly go up against the Witch, and somehow.....win.
Right?

THE WITCH
So! Now you've all seen what I said happened to Riku-kun. You've got a couple of options you can take here. You can agree that I killed him with Asmo-chan, and then this whoooole trial will end...though I'll be super disappointed, so I hope you won't do that.
Or, you can argue against it - because you're on the human side! You'll have to come up with a theory using the Blue Truth, and dodge my expertly crafted Red Truth~
Anyway, I don't really care if you get it right. So long as you present me with a splendid Blue Truth that denies that I, the cute and great Lambdadelta, did it - then you win! ...Well, for this week, anyway.
Oh, but, it's not like you have endless time. Even I'd get bored if you tried to drag this out, you know? Soooo...I'll give you six hours. ...Yeah, I think that sounds fair.
I guess I'll also clarify a few other things for you guys. Oh, but, I'm not talking to all of you. I'm talking to the ones watching this.
[and indeed....when she speaks next, to the characters gathered, it sounds like magic-tinged gibberish.
But...you understand perfectly what this means, right?]
If there's two or more theories that have enough characters behind them, a vote page will be put up for everyone to vote on which theory their character is going with.
You can treat the rest of the page like how normal trials work, but always remember that you can ask the Witch to clarify stuff at any time - just keep in mind how the Red works from the page.
If there's any issues or questions, just ask it to the mods on Discord.
[And as she finishes up that bit, she sighs.]
...Okay, I think all the boring setup stuff is done now. So! You can ask me to repeat any Red I've previously stated, or ask me to repeat a theory that you have in Red.
....Of course, I have the right to refuse to repeat anything if it's not advantageous to me, but since this is a trial run, I'm going to take it easy on all of you.
With that said....Let's begin! Was Riku's death a Mystery, or a Fantasy? You'll be the ones deciding that, so don't let me down!

Lady Lambdadelta... are we allowed to ask if we will be able to see Riku alive and well again after this?
Because it's "pretend."
no subject
I told you guys already, right? He'll be back after this, on Monday. Geez, a little gruesomeness and you're all already doubting me?
no subject
[Hi, Jack.]
Maybe we could test that thing out, too? Can you confirm we will see Riku alive, just as he was before when he comes back on Monday?

Riku wasn't killed by that pervy stake lady, he was killed by a bullet to the head!
no subject
....Yeah, I don't have anything to go against that. I allow it.
[The moment she says that, Silver's arrow pierces her hand - and she winces, sucking in her breath.]
B-Be glad I'm taking it easy on you, okaaaay?

The writing on the door was going to be "SORA", but Riku couldn't finish writing it!
[Have a nice blue tendril of rose thorns headed your way, Lambda.]
no subject
Ugh, yeah....I allow it.
[She gets wrapped up in the tendrils, wincing but giving a smile.]
It was pretty flimsy...but that doesn't mean he wasn't killed by me! After all, does it matter if he wrote the words or not?
no subject
[Still, eyeing those wounds.]
Sorry about that, though. [Feels bad man.]

The culprit didn't stab Riku in the head because his stupid hair hid the bullet wound.
no subject
Are you kidding me? Aahahahahahahahahaha!!! I've never heard something so stupid in my life! Riku's hair didn't hide anything!
no subject
And that confirms that the culprit didn't use the stabs to hide the gunshots- I mean why would they try to frame me up if that was their plan? And it'd take a real idiot to forget they shot someone right after doing it.

The true culprit did not appear in Riku's room, they came through his door.
no subject
[A droplet of sweat suddenly appears on her brow.]
A-And? Is that all you're going to say? I'm getting pretty tired of taking down blue truths one by one. Try to combine them!
no subject
... Very well, Lady Lambdadelta. [ A resolved nod. ] The true culprit did not appear in Riku's room, they came through his door and used the knife to stab him!

...We're doing this now?
[SIGH.]
A corpse is a corpse. The moment someone dies, they cease to count as a person. They're a corpse with a person's name.
If this is what I think it's about, you're getting too complicated.

[What seems to be tendrils of vines or perhaps liquid swirls up into a shape -- it's big-ass scythe, and it swings for Lambda.]
no subject
I refuse to answer!
[Of course, that means the scythe drives right in her middle - and she grits her teeth, sucking in a breath.]
A-Aahahahaa....this almost hurts as much as Bern's claws....ouch....

[Each sentence is a ponderous swing of the scythe.]
